The Sabrent Rocket is powered by the combination of a Phison controller and Micron TLC flash, and a DRAM chip is included too. Performance results are good, especially write speeds are high, and pricing is low at $150 for the reviewed 1 TB version.

Love the review as always. I use mine as an OS drive with a few Adobe products. No complaints. I was skeptical since I never heard much of the brand before outside of external drives, but it is solid. After OCZ SSDs and the problems that came later I'm skittish with flash drives and reliability.

But gotta ask: why is this only now being reviewed by a lot of sites? I purchased one back in December, and I think it was out even earlier than that, maybe Cyber Monday. Is Sabrent just now sending out models to review?

@robb213 IMO Sabrent is now expanding from US to EU (because I didn't know them a few months ago and review says it was founded in 1998).

I have one question: will we see reviews of Kingston KC2500 and Crucial P5? Thanks for reply.

Solid looking drive, and I'm glad to see a 4TB TLC drive out there. This and the SX8200 seem to be the best bang-for-buck options for 1 or 2TB drives right now.

I think only the bigger variants do. These chips are definitely Micron, I checked their ONFI READ ID command result, comes back as 0x2C == Micron

Endurance for these models is set at 380 TBW, 800 TBW, 1665 TBW, and 3115 TBW respectively. Sabrent also includes a five-year warranty.

I've got the pcie 3.0 and 4.0 versions now for gaming drives. They're both incredible value for money in the UK and, in my experience, do exactly what it says on the tin.

I like that we now have the same Phison E12 controller tested with TLC and QLC in this review and the Rocket Q from a few weeks back.

For $20 more I would definitely take the drive I can fill up at 950MB/s instead of 240MB/s
