The Phanteks Enthoo Pro II takes the frame of the Enthoo 719 but has a simpler shell for a much more affordable price point. However, the Pro II still has an ace up its sleeve even so: a fabric mesh at the front allows for high airflow, which could be quite enticing to the dual-system fans out there.

Cool. Better than some earlier models where the secondary system is crammed in as an afterthought and is tough to access. The Enthoo puts it right there with the same accessibility as the main system.

Unfortunately for Phanteks my main system is also ITX so I'm not really interested in ATX + ITX.

I'd sooner build a system in a supremely constructed case consisting of quality materials with no fans included, rather than having to deal with the hassle of replacing a bunch of mediocre fans stuffed into a finger-cutting, awkwardly generic box.

And the argument of not buying a case without fans included, is a similar one to not buying a radiator for a custom loop because it doesn't come with fans - or water, for that matter - like a cheaper AIO does.

A useless argument, one might say?

I'd happily buy this chassis... but I am wondering where I'd place a second PSU that isn't of the pico derivative...

I have had the Enthoo Luxe for several years and have been very satisfied. I get why people complain about the fans, but this is a high end case and most people that will drop that kinda money on a rig to put in there will be using a better quality fan. At least I do.

When it comes to cases, in my opinion, there is Phanteks and Fractal Design and then there is everyone else.

Phanteks wants you to buy a PSU from their Revolt X lineup for this purpose. It's one ATX power supply that can power two systems.

A dual iTX system would take up much less room and be visually appealing to me.

I was checking recently the market of large full tower and I came across of Phanteks Enthoo Pro (Not II).
Then I did realize that Phanteks this is 100% China, and also they use plastic caddy for the 3.5" HDD, one experienced company as is the Taiwanese ones it would never do such product design mistakes.
Metallic caddy this is a passive cooling system and not a toy.

My next candidate this is for now the Thermaltake Core V71 Full-Tower Chassis.
akasa it does offer metallic caddy for the 3.5" HDD, but they do not offer choices regarding the case design.

I'm not...quite sure what you're getting at here? Most of, if not all, PC cases are made in China, but the Phanteks company itself IS DUTCH, based in the Netherlands. They are not Chinese.

Having had the original of this case, this looks nice. I would of preferred metal for front, but forms of tolex have been on guitar amp stuff for decades and seems to work. Maybe also a way to make the PSU on the back visible somehow, as some will own nice looking units to show off.

As to saying no to made in China, you should realize that this is a long dead argument since almost every good in this industry comes from there.

DUTCH this is their VAT only.
I am European and I do not tolerate marketing games regarding branding and product origin.
Phanteks this is like China moved in EU by opening a warehouse.

A better example was HIPER in UK, they had excellent CWT Taiwan PSU.
Six years later they got out of this market.
Speaking of design ... HIPER were a true designer they offered the first concept of modular PSU cables to the world.

As to saying no to made in China, you should realize that this is a long dead argument since almost every good in this industry comes from there.
There is no argument here, the industry of Taiwan this is leading edge in PC cases and PSU, higher performance heat pipes, product design, material quality but always at a price.
China does not hesitate turning their scarp metal in to aluminum heatsink because it is cheaper.

Worldwide, Greece has the best quality of aluminum and it is a major exporter.

There is too much nonsense spoken here, you can make anything, anywhere at any quality. HIPER never offered the best quality PSUs, they had some decent ones and trashy stuff too...

No, you're not buying Taiwanese for "higher price". A lot of the stuff is moved back and forth and at the end of the day, most of it happens to be made in PRC.

Like the only way you could render more Chinese components out of equitation is making your own PC, which you can't get further than a basic DIY project on. Even then, you'll still be importing Chinese components such as Japanese formula capacitors made in China. If you have this much of a strong belief that you need to avoid everything Chinese, I suggest you get rid of your PC, buy musical toys that aren't made in China and spend your hobby time with them...

I am not a collector of influence, I am an decisions maker.

Now when a company this has Taiwanese management, it is a fact that factory location this is less important, have a look at ASUS.
Have a nice day.

go ahead and build that dual system in a case with no fans.it'll cook.

People building higher end systems these days don't want the stock cheaper case fans. They either want a specific RGB fan or they want higher end, more expensive fans for specific purposes. Not including fans is a plus to most buyers of that type of case.

You don't need to have a hard drive tray be made of metal for the hard drive to be cooled properly. In fact, I've seen it make no measurable difference in drive temperature with the same 7200 RPM 8TB hard drives in two different cases with the drives in a similar location, one case with a metal HDD tray and one case with a plastic HDD tray.

Thanks for the productive reply, but this is the half truth, in our decade plastics decomposition this is a norm by a law that all plastics they should be recyclable.
I am in need having the confidence that one PC tower it will not collapse within 20 years.
New cases they are full of plastic and rubber parts which no one seem to care for their planned longevity.
In the next years we will start to read complains that rubber parts at PC case cables management, they start to decomposing and the case now looks ugly.

The smart consumer he should always evaluate small details and do some thinking ahead of time.

I know it rivals and in some ways is better than the Prime which is $1000. I am seriously going to get one of these before it jumps past the MSRP.

1. For the last 7 years, Phanteks has led the way in case design bringing home the "case of the year" from Computext almost every year.

2. Their fans have else been the leading perfomance / noise ratio fan during time, with the only competition coming from the Silent Wind 3's.

Take the fans off a Noctua cooler and replace them with Phanteks, at the same rpm, your CPU is 6C cooler.

You have to scroll down quite a bit to get to the performance chart but Phanteks beats all comers.

"The Phanteks PH-F140HP/TS is the clear winner in every respect. It edged out the new Noctuas every step of the way, delivering the best overall results of any fan we’ve tested thus far. To top it off, it had cleanest, smoothest sound of all the new fans in this roundup. "

3. The China complaint is hysterical ...who doesn't have their manufacturing facilities in China ? If you don't want China, you can't build a PC or own a laptop. 95% of people can't even name a brands of laptop that actually "makes" a laptop ... they are all bought from ODMs with heaquaterters in Taiwan but fabrication facilities in mainland China. US desktop assemblers got crushed by Trump's tariffs because while they could but CPUs made in Malaysia fab instead on China Fab, most components have no fabs outside of China. Hi end case suppliers in US went out of business because of the Tariffs.
Meanwhile most companies that sell computers were unaffected because PCs 100% manufactured in China were exempt from the tariffs.

Who made better cases than Case Labs ? ... their products were in the $400 and up range and the widely accepted pinnacle of case design

U.S.-based PC case manufacturer, CaseLabs announced on social media that "We have been forced into bankruptcy and liquidation," CaseLabs said in a statement. "The tariffs have played a major role raising prices by almost 80 percent (partly due to associated shortages), which cut deeply into our margins." The trade war being enforced on Chinese imports by the United States government. cause many US companies to lose money, lay off employees, or close entirely. So the claim that China sourced products are all cheap flimsy things is simply a fabrication.

Material selection is about addressing competing needs of performance, strength, weight, cooling and other factors. Buying a 5,000 pound hoist to pick p a 400 pound engine, doesn't benefit you in any way, it just makes yo spend more money. This build I'm typing this messsage on is 7 years old.... when do you think these plastic caddies will fail ?

4. The commenter above who said "What moron building a $2k+ system uses stock case fans?" hit the nail on the head ..... except for the exception ... the person who buys a Phanteks case with their fan already in it. I actially like buying the fans separately for the accessories, well at least back then. When preinstalled they don't come with the larger rubber grommets ... I have 16 fans in this build ... the 5 that came with it didn't have the large grommets, i called Phanteks and they sent them to me. The ones bought separately all had them... I buy them a couple of dozen at a time when newegg has a special.

5, In the 1st 10 years I was building PCs, every HD was a 10k SCSI drive with heat sink and fan. But the days where a HD warranted any concern for cooling disappeared a decade ago. I have phanteks metal caddies ... I have phanteks plastic caddies ... the SSDs are centered in the metal caddy with air flow above and below, the metal doesn't tough the SSD so passive cooling does not exist; when mounte fertical, voncection proide all necessary cooling.. The plastic frame around the SSHDs is an open design allowing air flow to pass over 95% of the HD area. Right now the PC I am typing from, the (2) SSDs are 33C and the (2) SSHDs are 34C .... ALL FANS ARE NOW IN PASSIVE MODE as I am typing this message, no fans are spinning. So exactly what are we to be concerned about cooling wise ?

6. I would love to hear an explanation as to why ....

China Fab w/ Taiwanese design and management is OK
China Fab w/ European design and management is NG
China Fab w/ US design and management is NG

Yes, every purchaser should think before purchasing, but think about things that actually matter and can be demonstrated by testing, not by looking at a thing and making an uninformed decision.

I have the PF140 I did a toilet paper test those fans vs some Noctua, Deepcool and Corsair and they actually kept the tile rotating in the air vs just keeping it afloat. That makes them excellent rad and CPU fans. I also recently did a build in the Enthoo Pro and in some cases the case in over engineered but little details like everywhere you could possible run to a MB header has a cutout. are so refreshing.

There are so many pros this case has vs the argument of plastic drive trays that it becomes obtuse. I could guarantee that this case is better than the View 71 for one reason......it is half the price. Thermaltake make good cases but they seem to have hit the Asus and Corsair luxury tax button.

Do you have any Phanteks products to substantiate your comment? Have you bought anything new in the last 5 years to be able comment on the quality of any product?

I like how being made in China and having plastic drive bays makes a case the worst car you can afford and you have no idea what I can afford. Why don't we compare specs?
