FAKE: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti

Доброго времени суток. У меня появилась китайская подделка 1050ti. Как узнать подлиные характеристики карты? и как вернуть родной биос на плату?

Перепробовал кучу драйверов, ничего не помогло.

I was wondering this myself and if you put it into Google Fake GTX only it all pops up with the GTX 1050Ti.

Everything's simple if you know it. Grizzled veterans doesn't fall for these things, but if you have a really old GPU and see a decent deal it's not a stretch of the imagination that people will fall for it. And sometimes even a 550ti might be an upgrade to what they already have, or they want to sell it on but not as a fake.

A few years ago I managed to buy some Ecco shoes from a fake site. I have never set foot on their real site before and didn't really note the URL so ... I fell for it. I felt really dumb and I was to blame (only lost like €50 so no bigge for me at the time) but yeah it is really easy to fall for scams if you're ignorant. And ignorance is unavoidable in life. It's easy to point and laugh at people for making mistakes I wouldn't make, but it's a self involved thing to do.

I do wonder however just how many GF116's Nvidia made.

I'd say it's the GTS450 Rev 2.

The usual cheap price. if it's too good to be true it usually is doesn't click in when there's a bargain to be had.
Just hope it's a lesson to others reading this thread who have yet to buy these bargain cards.

I've seen them both, but the OP's seem more focused on a fix than good advice about not buying bargain cards.
Remember the days of lets make this topic a sticky for all on how to avoid be suckered?
Shame they don't exist on many sites these days.

Good day. I got a Chinese fake 1050ti. How to find out the real characteristics of the card? And how to return the native BIOS to the board?

Tried a bunch of drivers, nothing helped.
I wanted to change the BIOS, I get the following picture:

Looking at the GPU code gf116 *00-ka-a1, this seems to be a GTS 450. Elpida memory could point towards an ECS product.
To be sure, they may have left a white stick on the card.

@ShoN_JoKeR could you send a picture of the whole PCB of the card please? We may validate the card model and point you toward the right bios.

Exactly, I would pay max 10EUR for a genuine GTS 450/GTX 550 Ti and I wouldn't touch those fake cards with a 2m pole..

You can buy used GPUs, but buy localy so you can talk with the seller and know what you're buying. I can understand that for some people who isn't good in technology, it's so easy to buy a fake or mislabeled product. When it's too beautiful to be true, don't buy.

i had a customer come in bringing a card a year or so ago which he had brought for mining "he had brought 10" and he was gutted when i told him thay was fake but i called ebay for him and thay said to send one back to them and after a few days he got a full refund and told to put the other 9 in the bin which i thought was a good ending, if he put them in the bin i dont know but ebay are still selling the same cards.
