Here's the first render of a finished custom-design GeForce RTX 3090 graphics card, courtesy of a leak by HD Tecnologia. The ZOTAC GeForce RTX 3090 Trinity Holo is shown featuring a conventional axial-flow fan-heatsink design. The card is taller than standard by a good inch or so, over 2 slots thick, and appears to feature an acrylic diffuser with RGB LED elements. The RGB embellishments cover both sides of the card.

A recurring theme with "Ampere" cards appears to be thicker-than-standard backplates. On this card, the backplate looks chunky, with RGB elements all over. As for the cooling solution, it features a triple-fan setup ventilating a large heatsink, and possibly a baseplate underneath. We can see the new-generation multi-GPU connector. Variable fan-speeds for individual fans could be a new design trend with this generation. More renders of the RTX 3090 Trinity Holo surfaced, revealing three 8-pin PCIe power connectors. Renders of the RTX 3080 Holo by ZOTAC also surfaced, revealing a smaller product design with just two fans, and two 8-pin PCIe power inputs. A see-through render shows that NVIDIA is planning to use two grades of the same GA102 silicon on both the RTX 3090 and RTX 3080, differing in core-configuration, memory bus, and clock speeds.

Update Aug 30th: VideoCardz scored a family shot of possibly all of ZOTAC's upcoming custom RTX 30-series board designs.

Guys it's Turing Deja Vu shit show all over again... 3070's Shading Units number leaked... 2944. Boost frequency unknown, but given 3080/3090 numbers I'd say 2Ghz max. That would likely make it slower than 2080TI (around 12Tflops vs 13,45), just like Turing Vs Pascal... Looks like xx70 being slower than xx80TI of previous generation has become a new normal :(

Yeah and we were just getting on the right path with that... SFF was just getting fun. Guess you gotta go water for that now.

RTX 3070 with 4,352 CUDA cores... Yeah, right.

All it has to do is perform 50% better than 2070, for that is what 2080Ti is doing. 2080 Super already does 33%, the remaining17% can somehow be gained by better memory compression again and IPC+clock improvements... this for 3070 OCoc vs 2080Ti FE heavily throttling.

RTX 3070 with 4300 cuda cores is quite a jump from 2300 for the normal or the 2500 cores of the Super. That's 89% more core from 2304 Cuda core of the normal.

I feel that man. Ive been leaning towards converting over to at least semi-sff with an upper tier GPU upgrade but now thats looking like its gonna be a real pita.

I don't know what you are talking about, a 2080ti is only 38% faster than a 2070. Not in a million years will a 3070 be 50% faster than a 2080ti.

When nV is using their new 12pin power connector (plus 2x8pin adapter), Zotac said "f*ck it, let's just use multiple 8pin ones, cause everyone loves more cables".

Well the 2070 Super with 2560 cores performs right in-line if slightly above the 1080 Ti with 3584 cores.

I had a zotac gtx 570 that i maxed the voltage out on (high as msi afterburner let you) and cranked the clocks. Ran her in SLI for 4.5 years. I repasted it when I got done using it and my younger brother used it for another 2.5 years....I think I sold it for around $70 after that.

Still rocking my zotac gtx 980Ti amp omega. Hit the 5 year mark this past June.

To my knowledge they still have pretty decent cards. I'd certainly look at them first whenever I decided to finaly get a new gpu.

I’ve been around long enough to know that IS the normal. Overwhelmingly normal. It’s only the xx80 of any new gen that is expected to beat the previous gen xx80Ti. Pascal was the exception.

3070 needs to be 50% faster than 2070,
2080 is 23% faster than 2070,
2080Ti is 22% faster than 2080.
3070 is 2080 with new uArch cores same count 2944. and 14% faster memory,

so in theory 3070 would be almost as fast as 2080Ti, and when overclocked by 7% as fast as 2080TI FE.

I read somewhere that only the founders edition cards are using the 12 pin PEG connectors and AIBs will be using the normal 8 pin connectors

Haven't they learn something from the past? They always used triple fans design and yet still got the hottest temperature compared to the competition because their stupid shroud close the damn air flow from the fins. Smh
