NVIDIA just yesterday made a big announcement and forced everyone to turn their head and check out what are they doing. Today, we are finding the first listings of Add-In-Board (AIB) partner cards and their respective price points. Thanks to the findings of a Reddit user u/slyquick we have information about the pricing of RTX Ampere cards in the UK/EU, specifically on the Overclockers UK website. There are listed several models of AIB cards, covering the whole range of RTX 3070, 3080, and 3090. NVIDIA has officially published the UK/EU pricing of the cards with Founders Edition (FE) GeForce RTX 3070 costing $499 in the US, costing about £469. The OCUK website lists RTX 3070 AIB cards at £449 and the highest costing models are about £499.

Next up comes GeForce RTX 3080, a GPU costing $699 in the US, is being officially listed for £649 by NVIDIA. On the OCUK website pricing starts at £639, and goes as high as £848.99 for ASUS ROG Strix Gaming OC card. The bigger brother of the RTX Ampere lineup - the RTX 3090 - is priced at $1499, while NVIDIA lists it at £1399 for EU/UK pricing. AIB cards are going anywhere from the NVIDIA FE card at £1,399, all the way up to at £1589.99. This is a big markup compared to the FE model, however, AIB cards are known for providing better cooling solutions and better power delivery circuit.

Overclockers can normally be a little over priced at times, depending on what you are after. I tend to stick with Scan or Ebuyer, they seem to be ok...

Doesn't matter what country you're in, let the price gouging begin...

DO NOT BUY AND SAVE YOUR MONEY. VOTE WITH YOUR WALLET. MAKE NVIDIA AND ETAILERS RESPECT YOUR CHOICE.

God. This gauging/milking/rip-off junk has to stop. No one forces you to buy anything. Where I live the recommended price for the RTX 3070 is 20% higher than the average monthly(!) salary in the country. Do I complain about the pricing? Nope.

Yeah, that's true, altough I can see the Strix 3080 going under £780 imo

wait for reviews to find out. mind you the fe editions cooling is probably on par with the aib companies this time around. it is just pure greed from these aib, unless its liquid cooled then it doesn't justify the gouging from them.

No one forces you to buy anything.

What do you mean they don't force you? Intel and Nvidia have been forcing me every release. You must not be reading your faxes or checking your pager.

I'd really like to see what RDNA2 brings but if raster performance is also double rt performance on the 3080, I am likely going to buy it. Why wait another two months for an unknown? Not too concerned about a possible $100 price drop as that barely covers the two bottles of liquor I drink every week.

OverclockersUK have a habit of holding these prices for the first trickle of orders then jacking the prices up, citing 'we have limited stock and have a new batch coming in that will sell out quick'.

So good luck trying to get one of Ampere for these prices. Little to no chance given how scarce numbers are meant to be.

I don't see what they can do. If a 3070 really has 2080ti performance for $500, what do you sell a 2070 super for? $300?

I'm also suspecting 'shortages' until Turing stocks sell out.

From what my mate and I have been seeing, the prices of the 2070 to 2080 Ti have crashed down.. We've seen a few 2080 Ti's go for like $450, there's one bidding I've seen that had 2 2080 Ti's on a bid for £600... I can't see them going much higher because of the drop and shift with how Nvidia have priced the new releases..

If you're thinking of buying a 2080 or even a 2080 Ti, think about it this way, if a 3070 is say 50% (random number) faster than a 2080 Ti, then hopefully the price of the Ti will drop that bit more.. That said, if the highest priced 3070 is 'only £500', how much are you going to pay for your 2080 Ti?? I wouldn't be paying more than £300 with the postage of the card, why would you??

I also heard that a 2080 Ti Kingpin card sold for $650....

It's a loony bin of graphics cards right now....

Well this is it, AIB 3070's looked to priced around the RTX 2070 Super and as you say apparently it batters everything currently available on the market, the RTX 2080 Ti can't even be priced more so the whole product stack needs a massive price cut.

That is true. But generally, last year's performance would be cheaper than newer performance slot. I don't see how resellers like this too much. Nvidia killed the pricing on these from the get go. The only thing I can think they will do is to have a shortage until stocks dwindle. I don't see a viable price to sell 2080 through 2080ti.

Give them away... One with every i9 or Ryzen 7/9 CPU  Free GPUs for everyone!!

Jokes aside, they have literally killed their own product with making them that cheap and everyone has gone into Lemming mode to try and sell their card, loose so much money on the sell just so they can hopefully get one of these newer ones... I'm so glad I never bought a 2 series card....

Yeah and the 3070 isn't coming till October so maybe retailers will hope consumers won't notice and clear their remaining stock. :p

Look's like they have plenty of 2070 Supers to sell still, it will be interesting to see what happens, that is like 1080 Ti plus some new goodies, I'd be happy to pick a new one up for.... cheap.

You're fine if you bought one at launch but yeah last 6 months or so, I'd have some remorse. Sort of. I really need a new card.

Well, clearly they are just waiting to get the waiting RDNA2 people. They totally stuck it to AMD. There is very little reason to wait now.

Indeedy, hell.. if there is a fire sale of the 2000 series AMD cards will need a price cut too, in fact with the second hand prices going the way phill says, they kinda do already.

Those cards were overpriced when they launched, retailers and nVidia were greedy and didn't reduce the prices at all, even after the launch of the 5700xt which was/is faster than the 2070/2060s both are more expensive than it.
I hope they'll be stuck with huge stock and sell them at a huge loss, the 2080ti needs to be at most 450$ now.

Problem is first gen Navi sucked too whilst lacking the same feature set, besides you'd have to be on drugs to buy one if $450 bought you a 2080 Ti.

The major online retailer here in Australia is currently selling 2080 TI's for a STARTING price of AU$1600 (US$1170). Most of them are more like AU$1800 (US$1320).

Yeah, Navi was overpriced too and the drivers were awful though (I personally had the stupid audio through HDMI issue), but the 5700 was a bit better it once unlocked it comes close or beats the 2070, features set I think they were ok, only a few games have RT or DLSS (none of them are of any interest to me, BF V was a joke), and actually despite the drivers issue freesync is way better basically you just turned on and done, while G-sync for some stupid reasons you have to limit your FPS, can't it just work in its range and stop beyond like freesync.

The 20% being charged on top is the margin from the seller (usually a webshop). And proberly costs for having that product into your country as well.

I think Nvidia went the apple route with the 2000 series already. They bake big chips where the faillure rate is high. No wonder the price is like 3 times.

Problem is first gen Navi sucked too whilst lacking the same feature set, besides you'd have to be on drugs to buy one if $450 bought you a 2080 Ti.

Yes, it sucked so much, that both Microsoft and Sony where convinced to set their base for the next generation of consoles. 5700 series is a succes.
