From the video it looks like 3080 is hovering around 50% faster than 2080Ti at 4K.

RTX3080 can be called a 4K 100Hz capable GPU now.

Well it is still a solid 4K60FPS GPU and you got to enjoy it for 2 years now.

That RTX3070 performance gonna look mighty fine now. $499 for 2080Ti performance like god damn

Expectedly, these, of the newest of graphics cards should perform better than last gen ones , ergo , summarizing , a single benchmark scenario is not the whole story or should not be?
Sidenote: two cents on a buzz whilest each on their own one.

Yeah some people just go full hype mode... To each their own, we all value our money differently I suppose. But its clear the 2080ti no matter how you twist it, had a horrible TCO because the resale value is not even a third of its MSRP only two years past launch. I've literally never seen a card drop that fast, that hard.

4k100hz card?! @xkm1948 what are you smoking bud. Doom is notoriously efficient, its a best case scenario if anything. Come the next console gen's first games, you'll probably see sub 60 again, or 60 at best, on a 3080. And its not far away either. 4K will remain a tough nut to crack, make no mistake.

Pretty sweet.

2080ti is still a good card but yeah the 3080 is much better. Availability is going to be an issue for the first 6+ months it seems, so the 2080ti will last a bit longer.

When does the review embargo lift? I cant find anything online except rumormill.

It's early days with RTX 3080 testing. In terms of addressing the claims of the biggest generational leap Nvidia has ever delivered, I think the reviews process with the mass of data from multiple outlets testing a much wider range of titles is going to be the ultimate test for validating that claim. That said, some of the numbers I saw in my tests were quite extraordinary and on a more general level, the role of DLSS in accelerating RT titles can't be understated.

I have no doubt that rtx 3080 will be significantly faster than rtx 2080 ti. Just the amount of Cuda cores difference, tells me rtx 3080 will be a little beast. RTX 3080 has 8704 Cuda cores while rtx 2080 ti only has 4350 Cuda cores + the other benefits from a smaller node like better IPC for each Cuda core, more tensor cores as well as Ray tracing cores. It also has a little bit higher memory bandwidth as well. The only thing going in to rtx 2080 ti favor is that 1 gb ekstra vram. Besides that rtx 3080 is a clear winner on papir.

I'm very excited for reviews. Rtx 3080 will be a sweet new gpu going from a gtx 1080 TI and X58. To rtx 3080 and a amd zen 3 based system. That will be an upgrade I can feel for sure.

Well, as for the gf2080ti , I imagined nV has the stats for those as being split 50%/50% between the people who want the latest best performing one , vs the enthusiasts, yet somehow , balance tipped be I kinda see the first "category" edging atop ( as I worded it).
No need to guess drops in value, I guess. It kind of is pretty much self explanatory ( nGreedia lusting to be on top scythe'd its own for the sake of lust).

A few guys are dumping their RTX 2080 Ti's in my neck of the woods, but their asking price is still pretty high, now with an RTX 3080 soundly trashing the RTX 2080 Ti, they can expect to suffer a fair bit of loss. A guy was telling them they'd waited too long, now with the imminent release of the RTX3xxx series, it's a tad late already. I might just get an RTX 3080 just for the hell of it....and snag a big Navi later on.

No, don't be so premature. This game was cherry-picked and settings fiddled to high heaven to be flattering to the 3080 and the opposite for the 2080 Ti.

If you think the 3080 will be close to 50% faster than a 2080 Ti on average in W1zzards upcoming review, you need to have a word with yourself. At any res. Average difference sans RT will be about 30-35%.

Wait smait, RTX 3080 50% faster even rough it's still not hype at $699. Compared to what for the 2080Ti? $1000-$1400? Pffft. I'm not waiting. I'm currently on GTX 1080x2 SLI. I should see a nice boost.
