SilverStone earlier this week unveiled the SX750, a new premium power supply in the compact SFX form-factor. With a depth of just 10 cm. This compact powerhouse puts out 750 W of power, offers full modular cabling, and boasts of 80 Plus Platinum efficiency. Under the hood, it features a single +12 V rail design, 100% Japanese capacitors, most common electrical protections, APFC, and strict ±3% voltage regulation. It uses a 92 mm dual ball bearing fan that is programmed to stay off when the PSU is pulling below 260 W load. All cables included with the SilverStone SX750 are flat, ribbon-type. Connectors include a 24-pin ATX, up to three 8-pin EPS cables, four 6+2 pin PCIe power, eight SATA power, three Molex and a Berg. The company didn't reveal pricing.

3x 8pin eps is interesting could someone tell me the use for 3xeps connectors? -maybe in server segment?

this is from their german page -confusing

1 x 24 / 20-poliger Motherboard-Stecker(300mm)
1 x 8 / 4-poliger EPS / ATX 12V- Stecker(400mm)
2 x 8 / 4-poliger PCIE- Stecker(400mm / 150mm) so this should say 2x8\4 eps
4 x 8 / 6-poliger PCIE- Stecker(”400mm / 150mm” x 2)
8 x SATA-Stecker("300mm / 200mm / 100mm / 100mm " x 2)
3 x 4-poliger Peripheriestecker(300mm / 200mm / 200mm)

and now the english one

1 x 24 / 20-Pin motherboard connector(300mm)
1 x 8 / 4-Pin EPS / ATX 12V connector(400mm)
2 x 8 / 4-Pin EPS / ATX 12V connector(400mm / 150mm)
4 x 8 / 6-Pin PCIE connector(”400mm / 150mm” x 2)
8 x SATA connector(”300mm / 200mm / 100mm / 100mm” x 2)
3 x 4-Pin Peripheral connector(300mm / 200mm / 200mm)

and interesting choice of cable length: the 700watt has 1x500mm+150+1x400mm+150
750watt has 2x400mm+150

3x EPS will be soon the new default, as it seems, for high-end PSUs.

Besides 80 PLUS this PSU also features Cybenetics certifications, for both efficiency and noise: ETA-A and LAMBDA-Standard+

This is a SFX PSU, so it isn't particularly useful. How much can one EPS connector on this PSU deliver safely? 300W should be doable I think. Which gives 600W for two EPS connectors. As this is a 750W SFX PSU two already seems like overkill. The third one here, which also is one on the same cable, looks more for marketing, instead of having a useful function.

Amount of EPS cables seems to be just for convenience. The PSU has three 8pin modular connections and those are most likely compatible with EPS/PCIe cables. Standard use case would mean plugging one PCIE cable (with two 8pin endings) and one EPS cable (with single 8pin ending). Users needing more power to gpu will opt to plug another pcie cable into remaining spot. Users with dual eps motherboards can swap the single 8pin eps cable to the included double-ended one. Ability to connect a total of 3 EPS seems like unintended side effect + a bit of 'feature proofing'.

They also hinted on their Instagram post that a 1000w unit is on it's way. Not sure if thats SFX or SFX-L though

SFX and SFX-L should be the standard already for modern PSUs for God's sake. Hard to believe hardware enthusiast still dismiss it. All other hardware is moving forward and forward and we still have people clinging on to old massive designs which are being shown to be obselete and unnecessary and space wasting. Hell I'd rather use SFX and SFX-L even in standard cases. And then the cherry on top is everytime they're able to push even more wattage through these better designs or offer more connectivity someone's like "why does an SFX PSU need that".... like come on. People are ridiculous and hold hardware back so much. I cringe when users say SFX isn't that useful. Can the community be less narrow minded?

You're the one being narrow minded. Just because you prefer a smaller PSU doesn't mean everyone does. Also SFX and SFX-L are just as obsolete, ATX12VO has the future. And SFX and SFX-L power supplies are just not suitable for higher wattages, too small on the inside for the components and airflow and on the outside for the cables.

From all the SFX and SFX-L power supplies available only the Corsair SF series are really good. All others are just not that interesting. So not much to choose from anyway. Luckily there is ATX where there is a lot too choose from.

I also have the feeling you didn't understand my post. So could you explain why you want a third 8 pins ATX connector on such a PSU? What would be the plus of that?

How about every one to cool down?
Personal likes and dislikes they are no others people business.
If I start criticizing all day long, other people opinions, I will end up with out life of my own.
