Today, Alphacool presents its latest RTX 3080 GPU cooling block for the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Founders Edition to pre-order. Delivery is expected to start at the end of October. This cooler covers all the necessary components that require cooling. This includes the voltage converters, graphics memory and of course the GPU. All known hotspots of the graphics cards are completely cooled with water. Alphacool includes special 1 mm thick Ultra Soft thermal pads with this GPU cooler. As the name suggests, these are very soft and nestle perfectly to the components to be cooled. When the thermal pads heat up, the consistency and behavior is more like a thermal paste than a thermal pad. This of course has a positive effect on heat dissipation and is thermally far superior to standard thermal pads.

The Alphacool Eisblock Aurora Plexi GPX-N RTX 3080 FE comes with a suitable backplate. This does not have to be purchased separately.

Like all Eisblock Aurora coolers, these models offer a comprehensive Digital RGB, sometimes better known as aRGB, illumination.

Technical data:
  • L x W x H 121,5 x 204,5 x 28,5 mm
  • Material cooler Nickle-plated copper
  • Material cooler top POM clear
  • Threads 4 x G1/4"
  • Thickness cooling fins 0,6 mm
  • Illumination Digital RGB LEDs
  • Power connector Digital RGB LEDs 3-Pin JST (5V 3-Pin aRGB adaptor included)
  • Power Digital RGB LEDs 5V

Since I found Alphacool using the Eisbear they have been my go to company for Water cooling. I just wish the shipping wasn't so expensive but they have killer products.

I think there have been more waterblocks produced for the RTX 3080/3090 than actual videocards

That could be possible...... we know that we have many customers who have bought the cooler and are still waiting for their cards. It is really crazy!

I live in Canada and the premiums the supplier here charges are even more. Aquatunig is supposed to be the North American supplier but the import costs and shipping charges make it cheaper to get it directly from Germany. Even though Alphacool is on Newegg and other sites those are 3rd party suppliers and once X Company satisfies it's stock it doesn't replenish them. The only real retail units left are Canada Computers and Memory Express and they stock popular stuff like Corsair parts. I will give you an example. I wanted to get a 280MM RAD for a project. On Alphacool the RAD was $67+$46 shipping+customs on Aquatuning it was $129+shipping+customs at Canada Computers the RAD was $84.99 but it was Corsair.

That is absolutly understandable.
The problem is of course well known and is anything but ideal for end customers. Unfortunately, it is also not so easy to get shops to list new products from manufacturers that are not as big as Corsair and that offer a full range of cases, fans, etc. Shops have become very careful with the listing of products. The competition from Amazon and Newegg is also enormous, which makes it difficult for most shops to survive.

Yes and Newegg seems to get smaller and smaller everyday. Actually the site has become a crap shoot with shipping costs. I would suggest that you send some samples so that I could show Canadians what they could have if they just expanded their search. In the PC market (which is growing like crazy) I do believe you will see more and more direct from Company sales I also believe it may be the only viable reposnse to Amazon's dominance (in this space). The direct market here is very limited in terms of selection and awareness but I am sure you already see that your (fairly priced) products do move on Amazon.ca like the Eisstation, but I would love to be able to get an Aurora block just to show how easy it is to update the Eisbear if you already have one. One of my Workstations has the Aplhacool block on a 2920X with an Eisstation above it to mimic the Eisbear it keeps that CPU at 29 C with a 48 C maximum under load. I still have my Nepton 280 on my Gaming rig but I would love to replace that with a new Aurora block as one of my Eisbears went into a Customer build and the other one is not (to be honest) ARGB.

You mean available.

No, i mean produced... As in the global production of RTX 3080/3090 waterblocks has been 500,000 total units while there have been only 350,000 RTX 3080/3090 videocards produced globally (figures are just used to explain my point, and are not real)

I don't know where you got the numbers, but at least as far as the water coolers are concerned you are completely and utterly wrong. The number is not even remotely correct.

Hi Ii know that I am hijacking the thread but now that the AMD 6000 series have been announced can you confirm that there will be Water blocks available. I am assuming that the blocks should be generally generic for all models no?

Sure we will have blocks for the AMD 6000 series. Not sure when exactly but we are working on them right now. And sorry, because of NDA i am not allowed to tell you anything about the PCB designs in the moment.
