IGN has released some videos for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. They are located in the PC section, but are marked with 360. So it makes it hard to say on which version they are showing. In one of the videos it states that the PC and PS3 version will be identical to each other. The game its self looks very promising, and could bring a lot fun to FPS fans when it is released.

You can check out the videos here.

Great...Now I can be shot by the guy behind the wall...

I thought finding enemies was hard enough behind typical cover....Now the bullets are coming out of the bricks!!!! I think we have left the realm of reality here (see the Deep Impact video)....:wtf:

When comparing PS3 to PC versions being 'Identical' do they mean the PS3 will be able to get this game @ 1080p 60FPS? I higly doubt it will be over 30 - - - or over 720P for that matter.

Will it be Dx10

For what? So you can see some modified smoke effect or some sun rays? There is nothing in DX10 that justifies the performance hit.

And if it's the same game with some more eye candy, then I stick with COD2, which is still a great game! CoD4 will need some SERIOUS evolution for me to be interested. I hope the PS3 version PWNS though, the PS3 needs it and is capable of 60fps at 1080p if sony can allow the game creators to do so. The PS3 is very powerful and respectable, and I believe nay sayers will be unimpressed in the next year or two (or so...) when it starts striking hard with amazing graphics, resolutions, framerates, gameplay etc...many forget the Playstation series has always had a slow first year, but its the following years that make it a great system.

Onto PC's, good if CoD4 actually is on PC, but I don't plan on purchasing it if it's more of the same CoD2 but prettier...not enough for me to make an investment. Looks good so far, we'll see what reviews have to say.

Also, I think TPU should start a game review section.....what do you think?

Um.. how about no? Most modern machine guns and assault rifles can shoot right through all of that. The only thing that's wrong about the video is that it would of torn those walls and brinks all to hell in the process.. but alas, physics hasn't made it to the point yet in games.

Personally, I think the fact that I can finally do that in a game is kick ass.

I'm a die hard COD/CODUO fan - Ive done way above 2k hours on CODUO. when COD2 came out I hated it so much - sure the games more up to date but trying to put an emphasis on grenade kills by making sure that 99 times out of 100 u die by a nade is pretty stupid. I dont play a game just so i can get naded from absolutely nowhere. I got so sick of the feel of COD2 that i even boycotted my own clans COD2 server - I just hate the game. each time I play im literally gritting my teeth & counting the nano milli seconds till the games over

My Own opinion is that COD2 sucks. so nobody start flaming me.

& the fact that Activision/InfinityWard never ported a COD3 out for pc means that I will inevitably stay away more unless from the game 'is' really as good as CODUO

I take it, that it will probably be a vista only release - more marketing sleaze then George Bush with politics set to maximum 'spin'

Dont read the tabloids
Dont watch the news
Dont eat baked beans with toast it tastes wank
Dont listen to Radio Broadcasts reguarding Political Debates
Stay Away from Windows
Stay away from parked cars
Stay away from the dry cleaners

but most of all stay away from Infinitywards COD4

all rise for bill gates......

The nades were there to keep you moving, they are annoying, but more real life. Throw more of them yourself and you will see the benefit.

the nades were gay in a homoerotic way. & as for throwing more nades? i was dead before i even wonderd if i had any on me.

Id rather be artilleried then have a nade come out of a brick wall n kill me

I have COD 3 on Xbox 360 and it is badass, the graphic are crazy its like maxing my computer will little lag, (don't get me wrong 360 can slow down sometimes)but its never got lower than about 30-40 fps, and im not even running hdtv and its badass.
Allthough soon i will be getting an hdtv, and possible that cod4 after i see reviews on it. and see what people think about it first once it comes out.
