Chinese marketplace Taobao has a number of retailers listing NVIDIA's RTX 3060 Ti graphics card for pre-order - a graphics card that hasn't officially been confirmed by NVIDIA. The Taobao listings fall within the 2049 to 2999 Yuans (305 to 446 USD) range; however, expectations are that NVIDIA's MSRP for the card won't be above $400. That retailers are already listing the card should all but confirm its existence, and marks an interesting way for NVIDIA to operate, introducing the Ti model before the actual RTX 3060 graphics card.

Current information places the RTX 3060 Ti as using the same 392 mm², 17.4 B transistor GA104 chip as the RTX 3070, albeit under the GA104-200 nomenclature; the chip is expected to leverage 4,864 CUDA cores, 152 Tensor Cores, and 38 RT Cores (the RTX 3070 features 5888, 184, and 46 of these respectively). Base clock is apparently set at 1410 MHz with up to 1665 MHz Boost, and should feature the same 8 GB GDDR6, 14 Gbps memory subsystem as the RTX 3070. The RTX 3060 Ti is expected to launch come mid-November, and perhaps we'll hear more about it when NVIDIA officially introduces the RTX 3070 graphics card.

I hope that RTX 3060 Ti will be $329-379, RTX 3060 will be $249-299(if 3060 is 6GB, it will be $249-279).
RTX 3060 Ti = RTX 2080S+%15 in 1440p
RTX 3060 = RTX 2080

That would be nice, but 3060 at $349 and 3060TI at $399 is much more likely given that we're talking about Ngreedia. Btw RTX 2080S+15%= 2080TI=3070 so it's not gonna happen. 3060 being 2070S/2080 and 3060TI being 2080S is more likely scenario.

Yields on Samsung's fab must be really really awful if we get a 4864 core GA104 before the already announced 5888 core version is available. I wonder how long they can keep the hype train going.

If RTX 3060 has 3840 CUDA cores and it matches 2080, 3060 Ti would blow RTX 2080S.

RTX 3080 is 15% faster than RTX 3070 in 2560x1080p. RTX 3070 has 5888 CUDA cores and RTX 3080 has 8704. 8704/5888 = 1,478 but only faster 15%. RTX 3060 Ti has 4864 CUDA cores, so 5888/4864 = 1,21 i assume that RTX 3070 is %10 faster than RTX 3060 Ti also RTX 3080's Bandwith is almost 1.7 times of RTX 3070's.
3060/Ti's price will depend on RDNA2.

The 2060 launched at 350$ and we didn't have a Ti. 150$ gap to 2070 was weird and AMD handily stuffed a 5700XT right in it. Absolutely sure that this is going to be a 400$ card, regardless of what AMD has on the table. 2060S was slower than 5700XT in many games while costing the same and still outsold it so I don't see any reason why the price be different this time.

Benchmark Scores I once clocked a Celeron-300A to 564MHz on an Abit BE6 and it scored over 9000.
I though Nvidia just cancelled the 3070Ti and 3080Ti, at the vocal and public outrage of all the OEMs who were 90% finished actually making the damn things already.

Is this an OEM in China just saying "screw it, we've already made them, so we're selling what we've got" or is Nvidia officially not cancelling the 3060Ti?

Mm yeah, no. Asking $500 for the 3070 isn't greedy, except if the customer is greedy.

So many people who thinks every new launch will bring bargain prices. Every launch. EVERY TIME.
Greediness goes both ways.

Bargain prices, are you kidding me? five hundred dollars for a medium level gaming card? you buy an entire next gen console for that kinda money...

All cards should honestly drop about 200 bucks, then things are slightly more normal again.

2010 - GTX 470: $349
2010 - GTX 570: $349
2012 - GTX 670: $400
2013 - GTX 770: $399
2015 - GTX 970: $329
2017 - GTX 1070: $379
2018 - RTX 2070: $499
2019 - RTX 2070S: $499

Greedy Customers! ;)

Yes, perspective matters indeed. While the competition was rather mediocre between Nvidia - AMD Radeon for GPUs and Intel - AMD for CPUs, prices in the upper midrange, high end, and enthusiast-level soared upwards objectively.

No, $500 for a card that leaves the previous generations iterations in the dust and matches the previous generations premium offerings. Perspective matters.

So if the 4070 leaves the 3080 in the dust it can be priced at 600 dollars and it just keeps creeping up?

this buddy is quite funny, wanna bet?

3070 is 10% faster than 2080super, max
If you divide Ampere Architecture's(3000 series) core count to 2, you will see performance improvement over Turing Architecture(2000 series). For instuance, RTX 3080 is 8704/2= 4352, RTX 3080 is faster than RTX 2080 Ti about 30% but has got 20% faster bandwith compared to 2080 Ti. RTX 3070 is 2944, so 2080+25%. RTX 3060 Ti is 2432, 2070S+25%. RTX 3060 is 1920, RTX 2060+25%. All in all, it is my prediction.

If the rumor is correct and this card is 450$ I'm out, that is crazy price for a low end card unless they are planning on releasing 70 versions like a 3050 or 3055 or something like that but even those cards will 300+

You did exactly what I described, dreamed up a bargain price based on nothing. :D

Based on the fact that I got an HD6950 back in the day for 200 euro brand new including a videogame?

Bargain prices, are you kidding me?
BTW, you missed my point.

I didn't say cards today have bargain prices, I find most of them expensive.
I said there are people that keeps on thinking that the price will drop to bargain prices, and they never seem to stop dreaming.

Based on the fact that I got an HD6950 back in the day for 200 euro brand new including a videogame?
Nu, you were dreaming about cards going down to $200 again. It's not gonna happen.

I try to remind myself that these video cards are almost an entire computer unto themselves. The cost of a high-end video card has way outpaced inflation over the past twenty years but so have the video cards.

Adjusting for inflation when xx60 series cards were $200, that price point is like $270 now.

I think people seem to be forgetting the concept of inflation, especially right now. Prices always go up. Fact of life.
Inflation between 2015-2020 = 9.8% - > https://www.usinflationcalculator.com/

GTX 960 (2015) = 199 USD / RTX 2060 (2018) = $349 USD -> 75% price increase in 3 years
GTX 970 (2015) = 329 USD / RTX 2070 = $499 USD / RTX 3070 = 499 USD -> 51% price increase in 3 years
GTX 980TI (2015) = 649 USD / RTX 2080 TI = $999 (on paper $1.2K in reality) / RTX 3090 = 1.499 USD -> +53/230% in 3/5 years

That's not inflation, that's pure greed.

You could call it pure greed if the costs related to production stayed the same or were cheaper, but with more expensive process technologies and cost increases due to COVID, things are going to be more expensive.
