Is it really possible for an external power supply to damage a computer? No matter how good the reviews, Amazon always has some bad ones for every single power supply there is claiming it fried their computer. How would that even be possible?
I bought EVGA - W3 Series 450W 80 Plus Power Supply White from Bestbuy and it was dead on arrival. I then read others had the same problem with that.
I then returned it and ordered a different one from Amazon but it had female connectors instead of male so wouldn't plug into the 6 pin slot of my new graphics board so have to return it.
Anyway, do power supplies honestly have a chance of damaging or destroying a computer or any of its components?
Can anyone suggest a cheap one they have used without problems? Geforce GTX 1650 Super is the graphics board I have.
