So these are all less highly engineered versions of their Tuf/Strix cards with a waterblock preinstalled for likely more money than a Tuf + waterblock which would have infinitely better resale and likely better performance.

If these gpus are equal to the Strix, at least they are much shorter and compact than the air cooled one, with them absurd long and large pcb (to justify the gargantuan cooler).

This. The performance difference from the Strix is almost nil from other cards anyway.
