Yes I know it was a Golden sample sent to Linus. (show off ??)
But I am not sure if the (better in my opinion) video of Der8auer had a golden sample ... are you?
On the other hand, don't you think ANY 10th gen CPU if it is cooled at around condensation point , like 14 deg, will automatically allow a better overclock ?
And for i9-10900k 5.3Ghz on all cores is a regular overclock
I am saying I can do it, you can do it. I mean the possibility is there. (its really a straightforward process if you have the right info)
Can you do it for AMD???

better performance for same or less money with a AMD system out of the box
Fast RAM is required to defeat Skylake in some titles. And things DID NOT get cheaper with AMD at all. In fact, it's getting way more expensive than it needs to be. So much for them being the "savior" when AMD practically became the new Intel in pricing. Have ya'll looked at the motherboard prices as well!? Ouch!

So is Amd beating Intel across the zen3 board or just with a 5900x? If it is just with a 5900x then not that great an achievement if you need to buy a expensive 5900x just to beat Intel at gaming.

No special cooling, no delidding, no using extreme themal paste, no tweaking, tuning and then spending days running stress tests before trusting it with their family pictures, videos, etc...
Intel i9-10900K overclocked is faster in games compared to AMD 5900x.
There is no AMD CPU Zen 3 faster in games compared to Intel overclocked at any core count level.
They are better only at stock, and way better in productivity.
But more expensive, and ... out of stock.

The R5600X trashes or equals it depending on your perspective for 300 , I see where your argument is headed, your rig is great chill ,so would an AMD equivalent be now and that's how it goes ,new makes old less great by default.Yeah, the argument with out of the box performance is right.

Are you still going on about the 10700 vs the 5600x? For real? I've been over this with you a few times already. While I think this article is great for its technical content, it really didn't address the contention in the forums which had nothing to do with 10900K vs 5900X at all, at least from any posts I ever saw. I have not seen a single person advocate the 10900K as a good deal or a better performer since Zen 3 came out (see below post), and certainly no one has said that Intel Gen 10 was as good as Zen 3 in a 1:1 core to core comparison.
In other words, a straw man seems to have been made.
Also of concern, since this is a synthetic measure for rendering using an engine, It's quite likely that you wound find a 3900X outclasses a 10900K on those same tests - by virtue of the 3900X having more cores.
See post below, and I quote :
"..the 5800X / 5900X are clear winners in overall performance at the high end. If one is looking for a $500ish CPU right now for a new build, these two seem to be the clear front runners. The 10850K and 10900K just can't compete at their current prices."
The contention that I saw was not a 10C / 20T Gen 10 vs a 12C / 24T Zen 3. It was the $300 5600X vs a $300 10700 or $350 10700K.
I mean really, this article is not very enlightening except to tell us a 5900X beats a 10900K in games when paired with a 3090 and DDR4-3600. We pretty much already knew that from other game sites.
The 5800x is $450 retail. There is currently no direct competitor from the Ryzen 5000 series to the 10700k at this time, the 5800X is simply faster than the 10700k when it comes to productivity, and they are the same in games(this test re-done on the 5800x would show the 5800x is faster). The direct competitor for the 5800x is the 10850k. Looking at the review of the 5800x, where it trades blows, and is overall 2% faster than the 10900k in CPU productivity tests, it looks to be correctly priced. Bonus to the 5800X for not needing to be overclocked in the first place.Yeah, the argument with out of the box performance is right.

For the thousandth time, the 10600k(typically $275) is the competitor to the 5600x($300). They are the same price (±$5) when you factor in the heatsink you have to buy for the 10600k.

Are you still going on about the 10700 vs the 5600x? For real? I've been over this with you a few times already.
The 10700 is $325(8% more) at B&H right now. That's the lowest it currently is on any normal site such as Amazon, Newegg, B&H, etc. Just because you can find it for less on a few fringe sites that are simply not available to everyone doesn't make it that low price everywhere. Then, for the 10700 non-k to be faster than a 5600X you of course need to power unlock it, and then buy a heatsink, which will add another +$20 to the cost, making it 15% more expensive than the 5600X while consuming a whole lot more power. For reference, the typical price of a 10700 is $350(16% more, 25% more if you include a $25 heatsink after power unlocking). The 10700k is typically $375(25% more, not including the heatsink).
For the thousandth time, the 10600k(typically $275) is the competitor to the 5600x($300). They are the same price (±$5) when you factor in the heatsink you have to buy for the 10600k.

Bonus to the 5800X for not needing to be overclocked in the first place.
The 5600X & 3900X are of course both much easier recommendations. The 5600X being faster than the 10600k, for the same price when factoring in heatsinks, and the 3900X being faster than the 10900k. Both AMD CPU's require less power than their counterparts and don't need to be overclocked to be faster than their Intel counterparts, with the exception of setting the XMP in the bios.
Whether or not the CPU's are in stock has no bearing on which CPU's are better, though as I type this, the 5600X is in stock on Amazon US.
PS:
Ok ,so if you want to compare Ryzen 5600x with Intel i5-10600k , both overclocked, I can tell you that :
YES , on 6 cores vs 6 cores Intel / AMD still INTEL IS FASTEST IN GAMES. (9234 vs 9112 CPU score) .
So, in games , AMD Zen 3 loses against Intel ON EVERY CORE COUNT.

Now how did you reach this concluision , I am really curious .....
Let me show you no 1 REAL benchmarks from REAL people with real RIG's.
First photo is the world's best result for AMD Ryzen 5600x.
My CPU score is way higher than 5600x. (and I am just a regular guy , not some world leader of OC).
The second photo is showing the world leader Overall score of Ryzen 5600x and GTX 1070 GPU , same as mine.
My overall score .... is simply better than the best overclocked score in the world ....
In games, obvioulsly I will have way higher FPS than the best overclocked AMD Ryzen 5600x in the world ....
So, how do you prove your statement?

In conclusion.
AMD is better than Intel at stock speeds.
AMD is way better in productivity.
AMD is way more power eficcient.
But AMD is not the best gaming CPU to the date, that is Intel
