Power question for Nvidia Geforce GTX 750 Ti

Hi guys

I have a doubt regarding the power that the Nvidia Geforce GTX 750 Ti needs.

I got one Nvidia GTX 750 Ti for free and I wanted to mount it on my PC but I'm not sure if my power supply can handle this GPU.

My power supply is a MAXPOWER 650W/350W Model no. FATX650MP

My build is

Asus PRIME Q370M-C (LGA1151)
Intel Core i7-9700 CPU @ 3.00GHz
RAM 16 GB

Can I put the GTX 750 Ti on the PC without a problem it will work or need another power supply?

The 750Ti is only 60 watts and has no power connectors so just chuck it in, drivers install and play away...

Yeah it's fine but I just don't know that PSU, never heard of it, I recommend buying a PSU from a well known brand, like Seasonic, Corsair, EVGA, Enermax, FSP, Be Quiet.

Never cheap out on a PSU.

I am running a MSI GTX 750 Ti Gaming on a SeaSonic SSP-300SFG 80Plus Gold in my Windows XP Project rig and it works too perfect no hiccups with power only XP software being weirdo

PSU is likely trash for quality. It's a 440W RMS PSU with only 300W on the 12V rail. That said, it will likely be fine at stock speeds (which is all that system can handle).

That out of the way, get another, MUCH BETTER QUALITY power supply ASAP. That thing looks like a hunk of trash just by seeing how the power is listed and distributed. Seriously... I worry a potato like that can take out your whole system.... who knows what protections it has or doesn't. It's 'just fine' or 'chuck it in' but there are clear caveats here that needed to be mentioned with statements like that using a PSU like this.

EDIT: Actually I take it all back............. I'm not sure if that would work OR if it does, I wouldn't do it in the first place. The 300W 12V is the PEAK, RMS is 192W/16A.... yikes. YIKES. It may work, but I surely wouldn't use that PSU. The distribution of the 600W (or even 440W RMS isn't 'all' on the 12V rail so it is older spec'd model it seems? I wouldn't do it.... and this is coming from a user who doens't believe in 'really' overbuying for your PSU...

If I remember correctly, MAXPOWER is an cheap low quality brand. Normally a continuous wattage of 440 Watts should be fine for your PC but it's a good thing you posted a screenshot of your PSU specs cuz that power distribution looks unbalanced. It might work paired with 750 Ti but don't hold on to your PSU for too long. Your rig might not hold out for that long. Buy a better one from a well-known PSU brand with at least 650 Watts 80+ Bronze rating which should also future-proof your rig for a good while.

That thing is, for all intents and purposes, a 192W PSU. Combine that with expected low quality and you have a potential disaster on your hands.

EarthDog did actual research and reading about the PSU. You might lose both the card and the computer. Why do you think it is okay to just go and "try" and keep as it is until you think you will or not. Don't do it. Wait until you get a real power supply. This is too risky. Imagine you lose the card only? Now you have to pay for another graphics card and a power supply. Imagine you lose both card and the motherboard or even most of the devices? Is it worth it you go this route?

I didnt look it up. It could be awesome (I'd bet money against that)... but since a lot of the total wattage is on the minor rails, it screams old design. Couple that with the RMS/sustained wattage being so low, I worry. It may work. It may not. It may work for a while.. who knows. But I see a lot of red flags.

Yikes... 350 Watts of real power with only 16 Continuous Amps on the 12 Volt rail. Good choice to replace it quick.

For my part, as I am not caught up on the latest model of PSU, the only recommendation I can gives are PSU specs.
Best to get from well-known brand as they should be trustworthy most of the time. Make sure the PSU has at 550 Watts of continuous power. While I can't confirm it myself but most well-known brand should have peak power & continuous power not far apart. Also be sure that it has at least 80+ Bronze rating.

650 watts. They lied. The maximum on the 12v rail is 312 watts. Where do they get the other 338 watts from? If you add up all of the max currents, it only totals 556 watts!
350 watts. Nope, not going to believe that either. Not today when almost everything runs off of the 12v rail.
Even they know that this PSU can't deliver. Where is/are the PCI-e power connector(s)?

Basically, an 80+Bronze certified PSU from Seasonic, EVGA, Corsair, Super Flower, FSP.... At the very least, a power supply that has been reviewed by an independent review site. No review, no touch.
