OFFICIAL Cyberpunk 2077 Game Discussion

It can't be the same patch? This is what Steam is downloading.

Bleh no fixy key remapping

I'm meeting a bloke today to buy his RTX 3090. I expect much better visuals and performance after installing it.

I am still trying to get my hands on a 3080:(
At least I will be able to compare how the 2070 Super performs to my eventual 3080...

Loving this to death so far

CDPR did it again. And I dare say its better than TW3. This is GTA on steroids and cyberware.

You and me both. I refuse to pay scalper prices so I have had no luck but I got lucky today. Found a guy who bought it for himself and installed it, then had buyers remorse and is selling it to me for a few hundred under msrp. I can't complain and I don't mind buying a 3090 thats been used for a week or two.

lol, anger issues dude? Want to talk about it?

Patch introduced some TAA/Sharpening filter that looks horrid on my end. Going back to 1.03 for now and I will live with the crashes lol. On GOG if you disable auto-updates it lets you roll back to previous versions btw!

Don't know what's up with the Steam patch. First it didn't automatically update, had to do it manually. 1.4 gig patch. Then I had Steam verify the game files, and now it's downloading another 17 gigs.

You oughta reinstall... doesn't sound like yours went right the first time.

Agreed, that sounds all kinds of broken my dude.

Getting ready to reset my main PC. I think my install is just too bloated and I need to start fresh.

Got some surprising results from a PC I have that cost me probably about $100 USD to build ($10 for the PC from a yard sale, $72 for the GPU, $20 for a boot SSD).

CPU: i3-4150
RAM: 8GB DDR3-1333
GPU: RX 460 4GB
Game is running off a 1TB WD Blue.

At low settings, 1080p, and dynamic scaling from 75% to 100%, it gets 30-40 FPS in all situations. It feels surprisingly smooth despite being under 60 FPS. On patch 1.04 and GPU driver version 20.11.2

VRAM usage is around 3GB, and system memory usage is pegged at 6.5GB

So far 1.04 runs smooth. The graphical bugs are fixed it seems, at least i haven't noticed any. DLSS is still blurry as hell, even on "Quality" setting.

I'd really like an option to disable TAA, let me decide between jaggies and blur.

Anyone else running a GTX 1060 6GB or equivalent? I won't be getting 60fps but it would be interesting to know how it performs for other ppl.

I decided to just take the plunge and start downloading it. Should have plenty of SSD space after kicking GTA5 off the main drive.

Thank heavens we have better internet speeds in Australia now. I did two all-nighters just to download the 40GB game files for GTA5 originally. Now the internet speed is 10x faster and actually doesn't suck.

I set Image Sharpening in NVCP to 30% and the DLSS and Native results look identical, DLSS improve fps by 80% is totally godlike though

the ground looks better in the Native. but the lights look less emphasized from the source in the DLSS.

the lights have like bigger source in the native then DLSS?

Steam the least smooth of all platforms... not the first time. I cant even count the times the stupid thing re downloads a whole game just for a few hundred MB of updates. Seems like its feeding corrupted bits here and there...

Is it just me or they changed TAA in 1.04 version?
When you look at yourself in the mirror it's a blurry mess. My GTX 970 is getting murdered by this game but I don't remember if the blurring was that bad in 1.03.

playing 1.04 patch and I see no improvement in performance. By any chance is it only unlocking specific options that I can adjust to increase performance?

Anyway, got a bug. DumDum from first mission is following me everywhere. I mean, I just did the boxing match and he backed me up by shooting the competition lol. And I won too.

As well, my inner kleptomaniac is coming out in this game like Skyrim and Fallout. I steal whatever isn't bolted to the ground.

I was hoping to steal Jackie's bike because it looks so mean, but my inner klepto couldn't be satisfied just yet.

what you guys think of my style? Things feel a tad bit breezy.

Extremely disappointed with the game from a technical point of view, it's not that it runs poorly but this isn't exactly the Crysis of this generation in terms of visual, it looks good but nothing to write home about. Anyway, now I know why they made sure to release the game after PS5 and Series X launched, because this is what you get on previous gen consoles, it's basically unplayable :

I can't imagine paying 60$ for that. Apparently they gave out copies to reviewers only for the PC and new consoles, nice way to sweep dirt under the rug.

In terms of technical visuals-to-HW optimization nothing has impressed me since MGS5, and that was a 2015 game. Hell, at this rate we might even pay more on GPUs for worse graphics!

Keanu keeps tossing the damn cigarettes!
