Genesis Announces HOLM 510 RGB Gaming Desk

The Genesis HOLM 510 RGB is a desk created for demanding gamers. A spatial tabletop is equipped with a wireless charger, a USB hub, and remotely controller LED illumination, which creates a unique gaming station. The whole set is complete with practical holders and bases. The Genesis HOLM 510 RGB desk provides extensive workspace with a table-top sized 160 x 75 cm. The manufacturer focused on high quality and modern, stylish carbon finishing. In-built RGB LED illumination also adds a sense of style. It's equipped with remote control and a variety of modes and effects to choose from so that players can create their own unique gaming station.

The Genesis HOLD 510 RGB tabletop has an in-built wireless charger. It does not take any desk space and allows for quick charging of devices, like smartphones. It also has an in-built hub with three USB 3.0 ports to facilitate accessory connectivity. Cable management is simplified thanks to channels and a shelf under the table-top with space for a power strip.

Although, if a decent pair of speakers & a surge strip were included, it might be a little better value...

Cable collection at the back (pretty common) and cupholders at the sides. I like the idea of cupholders, if they would hold several kilograms. I wouldn't use them for cups.

And honestly it look like a decent desk. Its main sin is price. Do something like this but strip the LEDs and make the desktop adjustable in height and it'd be alright. I really like the design underneath, many desks (and my current one) have a frame that goes all around which is annoying if you sit crosslegged. And I would love to have chargers built into my current desk, and a power strip would be amazing.

Ugly AF but practical at least.
I use a solid birch desk with four steel legs and have a wire basket underneath at the back, but I think speaker stands, controller/headphone hangar, and integrated Qi charger could be useful for a lot of gamers starting from scratch.

I feel you on many poonts. I sit cross legged too and at work I used to bruise myself many times on the %*}}{# steel bars They also manage to make sure the sharp edge faces you, strangely enough...

Bang/buck is just horrible. Overinflated gamur crap. A desk of this calibre is pricy at half this price... durability looks questionable wrt materials used for surface area, (carbon mesh print so a plasticky coating, easy to damage) while the desk plate is rather thin. The way cable management is done is very budget. Thatvkind of basket is what you put laundry in, too. The steel frame... is rather thin in and you can bet its very light steel plate too.

2-3 years and it will look like it was used for 5-7...

I use zip ties to hold a power strip to a leg on my desk to keep it up and out of the way, I was annoyed with my feet kicking cables laying all over the place.

Pretty much this. Half the price or 200 with adjustable height counting in the extra price on manufacturing and added feature.

This saves you having to mod it yourself, but come on, these kind of modifications aren't hard to do in first place.

Hell yeah! I got my desk from Ikea. Built it online (to see how it would look) by choosing the legs (it has two and they're adjustable) the style and placement (right side or left) of the storage space, the color and the length of the tabletop. Only costed me about $135 and while I had to build it myself, I don't regret the purchase one bit!

Great idea for a work bench where you need constant access to the power strip, but I like my desk relatively cable free and hidden under the desk.

I bought a "gamer" desk from Ultradesk (the Momentum model I think it was) on a sale. It had a tiny scuff from transport and was heavily discounted, so I thought "well, 150 euros for a 150x70cm desk seems fairly cheap. How bad can it be?"
Well, not only was the particle board of really poor quality and only 18mm thick, it comes in two parts, with a vertical seam going through the center of the desk. I happen to have quite a heavy (about 20kg) screen mounted on an edge-mounted arm and as soon as I started mounting the screen, the board started creaking so I had to abort the mission. I did some quick research and it turns out all these desks are less than 20mm thick and come in two parts. The steel legs were okay and the whole thing seemed stable - unless you started to put weight on it, that is. The desk couldn't even be used with a 3D printer on it, the particle board is so thin it was vibrating like a drum, so I ended up giving it to someone.
Don't buy those things. I found a local carpenter and got a custom made solid wood desk, 240x90cm, 3cm thick.. On a local auction website I found a guy who made custom size steel legs, he even got them powdercoated for free. Now I have a solid wood, sturdy large desk which cost me less than 300eur, with everything delivered to my door and less assembly required than with the Ultradesk.

I always say, check local market before buying online from an unknown company. You can help the local economy, which is particularly important nowadays, and you will probably end up with a better quality product while spending less money. It really is a win-win situation.

For power & usb power on the desk its nice to have a separate unit not tied to the PC in any way; I stuck one on the desk itself and it powers teo laptops and phone(s). Power strip integrated is generally done with a hole drilled through and then placing a cilinder underneath that can pop out and offers something similar.

Those are all often better solutions than integration from the factory. Everyone has a different orientation so you usually get issues with cable routing and length if its pre installed, number of sockets isnt optimal, etc etc. Some units also offer an ethernet option.

Its also just fine not drilling the hole and use some edge of a desk for this, and yes, it holds just fine with the included 3M tape:
