Gigabyte G32QC monitor what u opinion about it

Need u opinion guys in this monitor as l want to buy it I will use it for pc and ps5 I read about it 2k monitor and has the signal for 4k if any one know about can explain for me

I have this exact monitor and I will tell you

Pros:

1. 32 inch VA panel
2. 165HZ refresh rate (DP)
3. It has a subtle curve
4. It supports Freesync Pro 2
5. It has HDR400 support
6. It has one of the highest contrast ratios making HDR 400 look good
7. It can work from Windows using software to get into the menu
8. It has a joystick for the menu
9. It has an FPS counter
10. It is inexpensive for what you get

Cons:

1. You must set the overdrive to the fastest to get smooth gameplay
2. It is VA and the picture is not as potentially good as IPS (Opinion)
3. The stand is basic and a little flimsy
4. The curve is subjective (I have come to like it)
5. there can be some smearing (only see it in some loading screens of some Games)
6. It struggles to play smooth at 60HZ

Before I got this monitor I was using a 60HZ 4K panel. Playing the Division 2 I could never use a machine gun with a scope to get consistent headshots. When I got this monitor everything feels smoother and it is much easier to use the machine gun with the scope. I am using a 5700 based system and I consistently get over 120 FPS steady in Division 2, Titanfall 2, Shadow of War and Cyberpunk 2077 look stellar on this monitor with HDR. At the time I paid $429 CAD ($336 us) which is great for a monitor with these chops. If the price is right this monitor is an academic purchase.

While you can force 4K with this you will be more than happy with 1440P

Thanks for replying man I think about it mostly for the ps5 as it not support 1440p as I read it work 4k on this monitor it will also works great in my pc as I have 2060 rtx

That is definitely a watchout for this then. I don't think this monitor supports native 4K. As far as a 2060 you will be impressed with this monitor though.

While you can force 4K with this you will be more than happy with 1440P

Frametimes will suffer if you cap frames at a bad ratio to the native refresh rate. You might want to try capping at 82~83 FPS instead. That's half the refresh of 165hz and will certainly improve smoothness/frame delivery. You can even edit RTSS's config file to gain access to decimal point frames to get an exact 82,5 cap going. You can also eliminate a LOT of potential tearing this way., might have to tweak around with the numbers a bit. RTSS is very precise, you can even put 100th of a frame caps on it, but its not unlocked by default.

For those who be like wtf
Here's the how to. And yes, you eliminate much of the need for variable refresh this way. Great option to access strobe functionality instead

I know it not native I read about that it have the 4k signal that it can work on new consoles just didn't see any one test it as if I going to buy it I need to be sure as I want it for the two pc and ps5

I can't guarantee but like most monitors this one does support other resolutions. I could probably use CRU to apply a 4K profile but Windows does not show that as a supported resolution for the 32QC.

Thanks for the detailed information. It is one of the good things about TPU. I was more talking about Games that apply default settings like Hard Reset

No problem that one of the reason's for TPU.
