Point to be noted, Your Honor.

My question is, why do they have tis many variants if there are component shortages?
Just cut down on half the variants and streamline prices.

For example, let's strike out the variants that they could cut down for the time being:

  • ROG-STRIX-RTX3090-O24G-WHITE: $2,109.99 why do we need a black *AND* a white strix?
  • ROG-STRIX-RTX3090-O24G-GAMING: $ 1,979.99
  • RTX3090-24G-EK: $2,014.99 people could always use custom waterblocks
  • TUF-RTX3090-O24G-GAMING: $1,839.99
  • ROG-STRIX-RTX3080-O10G-WHITE: $1,049.99
  • ROG-STRIX-RTX3080-O10G-GAMING: $ 929.99
  • RTX3080-10G-EK: $999.99
  • TUF-RTX3080-O10G-GAMING: $859.99
  • ROG-STRIX-RTX3070-O8G-WHITE: $779.99
  • ROG-STRIX-RTX3070-O8G-GAMING: $699.99
  • RTX3070-8G-EK: $729.99
  • TUF-RTX3070-O8G-GAMING: $649.99
  • KO-RTX3070-O8G-GAMING: $639.99 Just a fancy design
  • DUAL-RTX3070-O8G: $599.99
  • ROG-STRIX-RTX3060TI-O8G-GAMING: $599.99 It's a 200W TDP card; no need for such an overpowered cooler for it
  • TUF-RTX3060TI-O8G-GAMING: $ 529.99
  • KO-RTX3060TI-O8G-GAMING: $519.99
  • DUAL-RTX3060TI-O8G: $ 499.99
Not everyone will agree with all my points, but okay, it's just till the shortages last.

You know, back in my day, "enthusiasts" were people who discussed the technical aspects of a topic and shared knowledge, not a bunch of crybabies ranting about prices. Also, 50% is not a price hike, 500% might be, but than we get to the "not everyone using their rigs for gaming". The thing with hardware used to do serious work is that price is not really a concern. I actually paid much more for some cables than for the 3080. If the consumer graphics card price being raised by 50% suddenly threatens your business than the business must not be worth much to begin with. These things are, in an overwhelming majority, used to play games, not for serious work - for this you buy a Quadro.
It's shocking how uninformed you are.

There's a cure to this ouroboros....stop buying....and to those saying how others will follow asus there's a cure to that too....stop buying. Don't buy for six months...let their quartal income fall into the ground, let their investors start knocking on their doors pissed off and angry, and you'll see the change you want to see the same year already. There's always a bigger fish, play on that factor...don't buy for 6 months and watch their stocks burn down once investors start pulling out. Look at cd project red and learn from this, games can change drastically for these companies, literally over night. Nobody is hard when money stops coming, everybody is getting off that train, jumping off that boat, parachuting off that plane, and leaving you to pick the pieces by yourself...same it goes for asus, nvidia, amd, intel, and everyone else, they aren't the biggest guys, their ceo's sh*t into their pants before each quartal meeting with investors knowing one bad word means these guys get up and go away. Play on this game, spread the word, and see the change. Peace.

Best thing to do right now. Things are overpriced - don't buy till prices settle a bit.

How to fix this? Don't buy Asus products.

Asus wants to change market, haha, dream on.

Asus makes good products as far as I know, but these prices are ridicuolus.
Just so you guys know, it's not ASUS's fault. This is because of the 25% tariffs imposed by our pal Donald

Hi,
All countries do import tax
Have you seen Canada's prices on imports lol and the list is long.
It's just new to the USA and supposed to equalize prices for local manufacturing to be worth doing.

This is true except for the parts that no one took the time to think about.

A few things that come to mind...
  • 25% isn't going to make a bit of difference when labor costs anywhere from 300 to 1000% more.
  • Americans do not want to work in factories. (There are at least ten times as many open manufacturing jobs in my area as any other sector. Those jobs typically pay 25% more than other menial employment. No one wants to do that work.)
  • The tariffs don't make it more competitive for US manufacturers if no company in the US produces that product! It just makes the products cost 25% more for people in the US to buy them. It's another tax!

Damn.... Are we all going to end up as scalpers? Do we rush to buy stuff to resell them in 6 months? This is ridiculous.

Scalpers, bots, miners, retailers and now the companies themselves.
It's beyond ridiculous IMHO it's actually worse than the last mining rush at least there were cards about for ridiculous prices, were looking at unicorn tears for monopoly money here , 3060Ti just 150£ less than a 1080Ti cost some new if you can find it.
