Today CHIEFTEC introduces a new multifunctional cube case that can find its purpose in all settings from the office to home media systems. Featuring an elegant design combining brushed aluminium and airflow-friendly mesh, this is a case that combines a timeless style with high functionality.

The CI-02B-OP joins CHIEFTEC's Mesh Series in a compact m-ATX cube format. Despite its very compact dimensions, this case is extremely flexible in terms of hardware compatibility, supporting ATX PSU's up to 16 cm in length, graphics cards up to 320 mm in length, and CPU coolers up to 160 mm in height. Furthermore, the installation of components is made very easy thanks to the folding mechanism known from the CI-01B-OP.

Additionally, with lots of flexibility on the internal and external drives, supporting 5.25" and 3.5" optical drives, 2x 3.5" HDD's and 3x 2.5" SSD's, the CI-02B-OP is also very suitable for home entertainment purposes or as a mini server.

Back ten years ago, there were already much better cube cases around than this.
But mATX love has also been very low in the last years from motherboard manufacturers, especially for AM4.

The bay drive can be repurpose for something else. Quick release for SSD or reservoir for wartercooling.
It is better to have the options. Definitely a nice case. Always been a fan of horizontal mobo.

Can think is two use cases (pun intended)

card readers & backplanes for 2x 2.5” SSD

agree nobody would use floppy disks, of course

I don't understand this type of cases, so wide, the purpose of mAtx and miniItx cases/MB is to be more compact than ATX, this is not.
Too bulky, you could just go for ATX MB+case instead of this, there are ATX cases that are pretty compact.

Not sure if people here are trolling or have gone so long without a case with drive bays they've become genuinely clueless, but the point of having at least one space 3.5 / 5.25" bays is flexibility, ie, you can add your own Fast Charge or USB C ports, card readers, hot-swappable 2.5" NAS drives, etc, which bayless cases can't. Personally I'm glad that "the market" for cases consists of more than the 1,695th identical cut and paste 2x USB A front ports only, with mah arr-gee-bee lighting, airflow starved glass on all sides, etc, overly cloned, flexibility crippled cr*p we currently have the "choice" from...

You can even fit fan old school controller or one of those smarter touch screen control panels from Lamptron or Aqua Computer to it. Neat thing is to even have one 5.25" bay on case these days

I dig it. It's like a micro-ATX version of the HAF XB.

Really like how it opens up. Looks like it would actually be an easy case to work in.

Also, I like the understated look and inclusion of a 5.25" bay. Seems like I'm the only person left that still swears by optical media.

Kinda wish I upgraded to an mATX board now.

Really like that case. Especially the open up pic.

mATX doesn't get enough love, I think it's just the right compromise between tiny itx and furniture sized full ATX cases.

Lian Li already released this design like 5-10 years ago... PC-V358B, PC-V33... there were a number of variations on this design.

If you found a sata powered FDD then I'll install it just for fun

Just listen to it's symphony, oooh, I could use it as a security key. But I'll have to have 10 backups :D
