i7 4770 with 5600XT

Hey guys. What do you think about this configuration?
1440p and 4k gaming. Is the CPU a bottleneck? It is definitely at 1080p though.
Thoughts?

is it a non k 4770? i think 1080p should be okay but you might see the 0.1% and 1% dip into the single digits depending on the titles you play

Non k. For some reason it played better with my 2700x at 1440p and 4k. I think when I get a new monitor the 4770 will do just fine with the card at 1440p and 4k. 1080p really sucks now with that processor and 5600xt. It is way more than a 1% dips. It does drop to 40FPS sometimes. Never had that when paired the 5600x with 2700x.

I went from 4770k to Amd 1800x then 2700x. The 4770k couldnt handle streaming very well with newer games.
I think you were better off with the 2700x. I still have my 4770 rig. It's just sat there with a shroud over it. I installed a 1660Ti and wanted my little girl to have it but life happened. ^^
I have the 2700x and a crosshair VI on Ebay.

I'm still with the 2700x the 5600x went to the other rig which has a 4770 CPU. 1080p sucks but I'm assuming 1440p or 4k will do fine with it. Streaming is not important here.
The 2700x has a 6900XT and that works fine at 4k.

The 2700x is a strong chip. I bet that 6900XT runs well in that system. :toast:

Yeah if you do 4k gaming but if you benchmark it's not the best performer

i have a 4790 non K and a 5700XT in a Rig and it mostly works just fine.

even at 1080p.. the CPU is a slight bottleneck but it's fine.

I use a AMD Ryzen 9 3900X and a RX 6800 XT for 4K and I am not disappointed in the games I have been playing.

At the moment I am doing Classic mode in Mafia Definitive Edition see about double fps then with my RX 5700 XT :rolleyes:
