Arctic Expands F-Series Case Fan Range With New Black Variants

ARCTIC, one of the leading manufacturers of low-noise PC coolers and components, is adding five new variants to its extensive fan lineup. The black case fans complement the F-Series, which is known for an excellent balance of efficient ventilation, quiet operation and affordable pricing.

With the F8 PWM Black, F9 PWM PST Black, F12 Silent Black, F12 PWM PST CO Black and the F14 Value Pack Black product variants, some of ARCTIC's best-selling standard models are now available in all-black versions. "By producing the black add-on models, we are responding to our customers requests for PC fans with sleek and classic design" said Vincent Andre, technical director at ARCTIC. The products can be found starting now in the ARCTIC webshop, on Amazon and in retail stores.

Always had good luck with Arctic products, so nice to see them bring this color scheme to their F-series fans.

Now if only they'd also bring it to their GPU coolers...

Arctic needs to chill with that "PST" stuff everywhere. If someone really wants a fan splitter he can buy it separately. I bet most people don't want one and it's just a nuisance then.
Sure, they sell non-PST fans too, but they're harder to find, at least where I am.

Arctic's strongest product historically were the aftermarket GPU coolers.

I understand the complexity in making them with modern variations in PCB but if the watercooling companies can make a waterblock for hundreds of models, it can't be that hard to do the same thing for at least the more common Ampere/Navi cards.

Too many Ampere/Navi cards have big, garish, stylized coolers with stupid decisions all over them. Sure, they cool fine because they're overkill but not everyone wants a 2Kg, 350mm long, triple-slot RGBLED phallus. It's plenty possible to cool 350W with a trio of regular 92mm case fans and a rectangular, 20mm thick heatsink. That would make your typical OMFGOMGRGBLED hall-of-fame monstrosity into a regular-sized dual-slot(ish) graphics card that might fit into smaller SFF builds without mandating a custom water loop.

No, it's fantastic that they include this feature. Only it would benefit from some refinement, such as the header being integrated into the frame (which is less flexible, angle wise), for a more stealthy look.

I would be easy enough to have it in the frame and still allow some swivel tho... but that would probably increase production cost too much. Remember, these are budget fans.
