In theory your card is able to deliver 525W with 3×8pin connector compare to mine where limit is 375W because of only 2x8pin, but if it is locked and not allowed to go that high then it is a pity.I didn't try much yet. I've got no time. Just simple benchmarks etc.
The problem with all 6000 series cards is the power limit. it is locked and thus you can't go crazy with it but I plan to check. Maybe over the weekend. I need to get a good benchmark that would leave the cpu alone and just get the card maxed out. Maybe some benchmarks at 4k. My 2700x at 1080p can't keep up with the 6900xt.

3x8pin connector is then kind of useless until somebody modes the bios.

The 2700x has the same chips as the 2920X. Based on my own testing with a 2920X vs a 5600X meant that I was leaving up to 60% performance on the table. As an example the TWWH2 battle benchmark brought back 102 FPS @1440p high with the 2920X and 157 FPS @1440P high using the 5600X. Having said that the 6900XT is about 15% faster than my 6800XT. I wish Asus would get off their butts and release a BARS support BIOS for my X399 STrix. I have said it before but I would really like to see how HBM works with BAR.I didn't try much yet. I've got no time. Just simple benchmarks etc.

I play at 4k. Haven't tried the motion blur but fidelityFX I did. 80 to 100. It does depend where you at in the game and so the FPS drops. Noticed that whenever I run in game the FPS drops. I think it might have something to do with the motion blur.what res are you playing at and have you tried the Fidelity FX Dynamic setting try 90% to 100% and also turn of motion blur it's a frame rate vampire

According to TPU review it is at most 9% faster than 6800XT.

AMD's Radeon RX 6900 XT offers convincing 4K gaming performance, yet stays below 300 W. Thanks to this impressive efficiency, the card is almost whisper-quiet, quieter than any RTX 3090 we've ever tested. With my overclocked 6800XT it is actually faster than reference non overclocked 6900XT.

1175mV is the stock voltage for 6900XT and 1150mV is the default for 6800XT.I've noticed something weird. My 6900xt default settings for vcore is 1175mv. That's like wen you OC you bump the voltage. I need to definitely lower it. For now I got it working at 1.1v but I think I can go lower. I might try OC but i won't get to far with my current PSU. Problem is, there isn't a lot of PSUs for purchase at any store I've checked 850 is a minimum and those are nowhere to be found either.

I am going to try this1175mV is the stock voltage for 6900XT and 1150mV is the default for 6800XT.
These values are fixed and at the moment it is also not possible to increase further by tools like MPT.
Increasing this will send the GPU into safe mode and lock the clock at 500MHz.
When you change the settings in the Radeon Software by decreasing the voltage, you are changing the boosting behavior.
If you track the voltage by logging for example with HWiNFO, you will see it goes higher than what you set it to, but if you can lower the voltage in Radeon settings you can boost higher.
I have my 6800XT set at 2650MHz@970mV and in HWiNFO I see the card going to 1100mV with frequency boosting to 2600MHz.
With default settings the boost hits 1150mV limit much faster and frequency cannot go that high within the same power consumption limits.
If you really want to limit the max boost voltage allowed then you need to reduce this in the MPT. Doing this could reduces power consumption for same frequencies.
Some people are able to limit this value to around 1070mV for 6800XT and still reach frequencies in range of 2600MHz.
My card does not like this, especially if I push the frequency that high as I am doing.
The GPU is unstable if I change it to lower than 1130mV on my card.

Are those Alphacool parts for the loop? I have something very similar coming next weekFor Nitro+ 6800XT you have GPU power limit set to 290W by default compared to 255W on reference design card.
This mean when you apply 15% powerlimit you allow 332.35W to GPU core. You need to add to that around 45W for the other components of the GPU which means you have a total of around 377W.
This is close to the limit of what 2×8pin and PCIe slot can supply a combination of 375W. You are driving your card on it's limits.
Maybe you need further tuning. I thought Nitro+ can achieve better results than reference cards with respect to overclock and under volt.
A good air circulation hopefully will help with the temperatures.
I have Cooler Master Cosmos C700P which provides a lot of air flow with 2 fans at bottom for air suck in and 6 fans on radiators that push the air out.
Before I went water cooling for 6800XT, my temperatures were 67°C and junction 90°C max under stress tests. At that time, I had modified fan curve to go to 100% fan speed relatively fast.
I have water cooled setup now. The 6800XT has maximum 47°C and Junction of 67°C in stress tests but Junction temperature in games is around 54°C.
I have reference XFX 6800XT and I use 275W for GPU core and 305A TDC applied by using MPT additionally I have 15% power limit in Wattman.
This means the GPU core is allowed to take 316.25W and total GPU power is around 361W.
I am able to achieve 2580-2612MHz clock in games like Assassin's Creed Valhalla.
My setting in Wattman are 2650MHz@970mV.
These are my settings for daily gaming and not just to achieve highest score for short Benchmark.
I am achieving a score of 19376 in Time Spy with this.
So far very stable in all games that I recently played (Borderland 3, Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Cyberpunk).
Mine does not like VRAM overclock though. Even 50MHz increase on MCLK causes crashes in benchmarks. Maybe it has to do with SAM. I have not tried it without SAM.

I see, well, for me its my first full loop, so all look the same from a distance, but I shall get pro soon enough....before breaking stuff at the first tryNo my loop consists mainly of EK components (rads, fans, tubing, reservoir and pump combi).
6800XT block is also from EK.
The CPU block is from XSPC as well as the liquid used in the loop.
I have Aquacomputer MPS which is loop flow and temperature measurement sensor.
I have also Aquacomputer filter in the loop that has two valves that helps when opening the loop so that liquid does not flow out from both ends of the loop.
Only a few of the fittings in the loop are from Alphacool.
I have been into watercooling since 2014.

yup, from a theory point of view I'm all set, watched vids, read articles etc. Really hyped. Did everything there was to do with a PC, full water loop is the only thing I have not done, and I have a lot of crazy mods on record regarding cooling, but I am really hyped to see how my 6800 XT, and the whole system hums along under water Was not as impressed by a GPU since I got the ATI 4870 in 2008, but this 6800 XT blew me away, I really want to play around with it under optimal conditionsYoutube is a good friend when building stuff for the first time.
It helped me a lot when last summer I built my own expensive Cross bike by buying all separate components and putting them together without breaking anything.

I am getting the loop mainly for the 6800 XT, but also to try full loop cooling.Looking forward to see your setup in action when you have it completed.
Just for curiosity which high static pressure fans did you order?
I am using EK Vardar.
How many radiator do you plan to use?
I have three 1x120mm, 1x240mm and 1x360mm.
I use the EK medium thick radiators (PE) because there is no place in my case for push pull configuration. Thick radiator (XE ) need push pull for optimum cooling.
For thermal past, I am using Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut.
I was thinking to buy the Kryonaut Extreme but in November when I built my 6800XT block only the big 33.84g package was available for ~87€. Now 2g is also available but still for 20€.
Indeed 6800XT is a great card. I have been with red team since the days of 4870. All my previous cards were since then Radeons.

I am using EK-DDC 3.2 PWM pump. EK branded Laing with extra EK heat sink mounted at the bottom to help with cooling of the motor and prolong the life of it.One thing I am not sure if I made the best choice is the pump, its a DC-LT 2600 rpm small pump. But in case I am not pleased, will probably get a stronger one. Wanted it to be quiet mainly, so in 2-3 days will see how it goes.
