I don't have a fancy new card. Outlandish prices and near nonexistent stock hasn't allowed me to get something new.No... i spent $950 on a GTX 1080, and now $2600 on my 3090. I totally saw the price hike and the low stock and dealt with it.
I also am well aware that nicehash mining has NOTHING to do with these shortages, and that users mining at home has zero effect on stock levels... us gamers already HAVE the cards.
These GPU's are luxury items, not a neccesity. There is no reason for anyone to be mad about low stock levels.
I'd love to upgrade from my 980ti that's having issues, but I can't. It's not that I am unable to physically install a new GPU if I had one, but I can't (unlike you, clearly) afford $1-3K for a GPU. I am upset about low stock levels, I very well could be days away from being able to use my computer if my GPU finally decides to take a shit on me. But I'm glad you convinced me that my feelings about stock levels are just me being petty because I am in need of a luxury item....
Mining is part of the underlying problem. You coming off bitter towards others that dislike the cryptominning ad makes it feel like you are being personally attacked and have to defend the ad while beating your chest as you brag about how much you were able to spend to get an overpriced GPU.
