The Kolink Classic with 400 W peak power output is a low-capacity PSU with good overall performance, sold at a price that won't empty your wallet. It looks like a great bargain, so is there a catch? Read the review to find out whether it is worth buying this Kolink PSU instead of paying a bit more and getting a Corsair CX450 or an XPG Pylon 450.

and the AC power cord has not been included

Probably a mistake with packaging at the factory I guess?
I don't know any other PSU maker that doesn't ship it's PSU with a power cord.

antec on one of their neo -eco green or eco green units. I forget because they swapped line names every other release.

edit: now that i think about it, maybe it was earthwatt

second edit: even a broken clock is right twice a day! both came without a power cord

The EA-380D (and the rest of the EarthWatts Green line) ships without a power cord.

The packaging is very basic brown-card and is trying to sell that “Eco” aspect of the product. You can also see that no power chord is included.

Acceptable quality 30~40 eur PSUs often come without power cord. Those cheapest but decent Chieftec, FSP often comes in plastic bag without any bundle. That is called bulk packing. Sometimes there are two differently priced versions of the same PSU: with regular packing and with bulk packing.

There was one PSU manufacturer called Nexus. They were quite popular in Europe some time ago now they were bankrupt. This company had many products without power cord - one of the most expensive had 1000W power and cost about 150€. And it didn't had power cord...

I really love results of this Kolink. It is nice to see that it has better results that more expensive models.

CM6800U is an interesting controller since it allows higher hold-up time with great efficiency and stability. Cougar uses it along with the unknown CM6800T+. There is also an CM6802U with some differences, like the CM6500 and CM6502.

I think it would be nice to see more lower power psu's. The old Antec earthwatts 380W was a good psu.

I just built a pc for my daughter, uatx with an AMD 3400G, I don't think the entire system pulled 125W running prime 95 while doing stuff on the desktop, and yet smallest decent PSU i could get here was a 550W gold seasonic, oh well price wasn't too bad.

Not too bad, but would be better if it were full range AC input.
Since it is European Caseking in house brand, it is sold in Western Europe only. So it is no point for that.
Results are nothing to write home about. This PSU is only useful to replace a PSU in a 10 years old PC, with a defective PSU. It isn't a PSU you should use for a new build.

Actually it is great choice for new office system and good enough for budget gaming system with Core i3/ i5 (non K) and grapgics card up to GTX 1660 Ti

Why would you use such a low quality PSU for that? For a system like that a PSU that costs 10 dollars/euro more like a CX450 or MWE Bronze V2 450W makes a lot more sense.

Also full range is also useful in the market where caseking sells there products. Not everyone there has a 100% stable mains.

Incorrect actually.

Even in 230V regions you could experience brownouts which mean input voltage dropping. Being full range means more capable primary components like bridge rectifier (since at lower voltage you need more current for the same power), to better handle those.

No they don't provide one to keep the cost as low as possible.

Right? With <150W graphics and <100W CPU, 350W is all you need.

Hey that is a really good review - with what looks like the death of the Jonnyguru site I'm very happy to see someone else with some some good knowledge delving into PSU's properly. Now can you just review all the others ........ :)

Other issues with the site notwithstanding, Aris M. from Tom's Hardware is also pretty good.
