Do you have any measurements for the thermalpad thickness on the memory chips? Do you think 1mm thickness is enough?
1 mm should be enough, better buy a bit thicker, they can be squished and compressed

@W1zzard in the "cons" you have it as nosier.
fixed

Re-Read my post, I said USA (your own quote of my post showed my statement saying "at least in the US"). Also, according to Lisette AT PNY, you are wrong about Founders Editions. At least for the US, they are made at PNY, per a PNY employee, Sales Manager to be specific. In fact, everything I said was 100% correct and your correction was not. I confirmed this directly WITH PNY themselves. You are welcome to contact PNY, Lisette or Michelle and ask yourself.

I stand by my statements in full as what PNY themselves are saying. Unless you know more than PNY? I do doubt that.

Edit: Furthermore, PNY supplies HP and Dell with many OEM needs, Nvidia makes no cards... What are you smoking? You realize Nvidia is fabless, right? Nvidia designs it and sends any board design to their board partners, which in the US is PNY. Nvidia makes no cards themselves, I don't know where you are getting that from. PNY makes most of the OEM market's cards in the US for Geforce needs.
Yes, I know more than PNY. They have no graphics card design or manufacturing capabilities of their own. NVIDIA designs Quadro NVTTM reference designs and uses foundry partners to manufacture them, which are then passed on in trays to the likes of PNY, Leadtek, ELSA, etc. These are the same foundries that also make GeForce Founders Edition boards.

PNY's role in this is limited to packaging the card for end-users, marketing and sale; and aftersales support. Perhaps the the people you spoke with consider the intricate task of picking a card from a tray and putting in a box as "manufacturing."

Okay, NOW I call BS on you. You don't know crap compared to PNY. I don't know who you think you are, but you just gave a ton of misinformation. I trust PNY 1000X more than you (especially after they bent over backwards to get me a card, while I really don't know you at all...). I'll take their word over yours any day. When you start thinking you know more than the company making the cards, you are clearly arrogant and too full of yourself. PNY is the company making cards, you are some name on the internet with NO corporate established reputation. You are a web site media, literally, a talking head. PNY is 100% more reliable information than you.

I'm just shocked you dared go there. You know more than PNY... BWAHAHAHAHAH! Total BS, dude. Honestly, that sounds like some QAnon crap to me. One dude on the net saying he knows more than the very company putting these products out. OMG, the sheer arrogance!

Lisette Galloza is my contact at PNY and 100% more reliable than you. She is Sales Manager, you are what at PNY? Nothing. You know nothing about PNY, clearly. That is the SECOND set of misinformation given by this site on this topic. At least the first person above admitted they were wrong when I presented proof. You just came in with unprovable crap that PNY says is false. I believe PNY over you.

Let me be clear here. PNY makes cards in the USA at New Jersey. They actually MAKE cards at the New Jersey plant. This is not a rebadging operation, I have TRIPLE checked on that detail. You are wrong, all around on this one.

EDIT: In fact, I am getting information right now from PNY that you cannot get... Resizable Bar BIOS support from PNY and release dates of those bios, I'm already working on that. What are YOU doing with PNY that makes YOU so knowledgeable? I happen to be THE person who helped sell more cards direct from PNY than any other non-employee in their history and even known by Lisette and crew as "The Golden Ticket guy". Now, what is YOUR inside source up there? Do you have one? I know I do... My inside source says all information given to me is open to public share AND confirmable by directly calling PNY and speaking to her.

Also... in case you didn't know it, Foundry's make the chips and install them, plants make the cards that those chips go on, PNY makes the cards, those get sent to the Foundry for GPU and memory mounts. Cards are not made at the chip foundry. You clearly have some mixed up supply line points.

Flextronics and Foxconn are foundry partners for NVIDIA's NVTTM cards (reference-design Quadro and GeForce Founders Edition). They have no manufacturing facilities in New Jersey. PNY repackages NVTTM cards. The card is manufactured (i.e. components placed on the PCB, mated with cooler, quality control, etc.,) at a foundry facility in China.

See that "Made in China" mark?

And another "Made in China" mark near that barcode sticker?

You'll notice many design similarities between Quadro and GeForce FE PCBs. It's because they're made in the same factory, which is outside a 6,000-mile radius of New Jersey. The PNY facility you speak of repackages cards for the US market.

What PNY sells are essentially reference-design NVIDIA Quadros, which are also sold by the likes of Leadtek and ELSA:

Sorry, but I'll trust my own knowledge over yours and your PNY salesgirl's.

And I will put Lisette up against you anytime. In fact, I emailed her about your assertions. Better hope you're right, your site just reviewed their products. You are making claims of rebadging. We will see what PNY has to say about that. I also copied the tech lead as well. Not just sales, tech support shall be involved as well. Your claims versus theirs. If they confirm what you said, I will back down. If they deny your claims, sorry, I take their word over yours any day of the week.

Edit: It's not rude to say I have no reason to trust your word over the company itself. That is my position.

What a boring card. Triple slot cooler with a rediculous name and it still is worse them mid tier when it comes to cooling. That TUF really did set the bar high.

I had two XLR8770s, and they were great. Quiet, cool, and not gaudy like these things. Less work on the name and more effort in the cooler please!

I ended up with one of these by chance, ended up getting lucky and scooping it up for msrp back in early december. Overall it's been a great card for me, pretty much runs at 1950mhz continuously any time i'm gaming and idles with the fans off any time i'm not. Overall, would have preferred the ASUS card, but pretty happy with it overall.

For anyone in the know, where would PNY end up releasing updated firmware for this card? I've been perusing the bios database and see a few candidates for bios's from other mfg that I could flash onto here... but without knowing what's going on with resizable bar support, i've been holding off.

"PNY has been making NVIDIA graphics cards for many years and are one of the top providers for NVIDIA Quadro and Tesla Professional graphics solutions."

You are indeed new to reviewing PNY cards. PNY is the ONLY (not "one of") provider of Quadro, Tesla, and Titan cards. Also, Founders Editions are made at PNY for Nvidia (at least in the US).

Also, having the 3090 version of this card shipped straight to my door from the PNY factory on launch day (shipped on launch day, in my hands a few days later), and being one of two people who were able to order one on launch day from PNY, I can tell you that it's a perfect reference card, exactly as Nvidia intends reference cards. In fact, when Nvidia has a first reference card made up, it's made at PNY for Nvidia. PNY is the first board design partner of Nvidia. When Nvidia needs a circuit board attached to their chips, it gets made first at PNY.

Lisette from PNY went above and beyond the call of duty in ensuring that I got a card, and all of my friends got cards in short order and near MSRP price. Unfortunately, that MSRP thing is gone now due to even PNY having to lift prices, sadly. I bought my 3090 at exactly $1499.99 from PNY when they still only costed that, 2nd day shipping was free. Lisette is still running the "Interest List" and people can get on it still, but it's no longer base MSRP and the wait can be up to a month now for your order to get taken. It used to be under 2 weeks, and for me it was launch day of the 3090 (I was a lucky case).
Really?
I didn't realize pny play a very important role for Nvidia, they design all there reference cards?
Nvidia don't make there own PCBs?
