Hmmm, I wonder why Gelid GC Extreme isn't on the comparison list? In any case I'm ordering up some MX5 to add to my thermal paste collection.

Maybe they didn't have any to test?
Gelid GC Extreme has usually tested slightly better than MX4 in most breakdowns I've seen. It's also been my choice for my own PC's for several years. MX4 and 5 are a slightly better value though. I've been using MX4 on GPU's for a while now with no complaints. I also have it in two PC AIO's for testing at the moment.

Have a 4G tube of MX5 which I got from Amazon for 6 and change and a 4G tube of NT1. First application of MX5 was done with a line and spread method. Ended up being a lil too much as I use this method with MX4. Fans went nuts. Removed and did a pea size spread still very thin. Due to thickness even the very thin application did wonders. So I’m going with MX5 does better very thin than a nominal amount. NT1 speaks for its self. MX5 will be my back up seeing as NT1 has only a 2 year shelf life and MX5 at least 5 years. I change paste every 6-8 months anyways. Either is good for a bare gpu/cpu with out a heat spreader or de-lid job. MX5 is a bit harder to remove than NT1 due to thickness. Some will appreciate that. Some will go through Q-Tips like crazy lol. Likely why pump out has a tuff time with MX5.
