I wanted to get a better Motherboard for Overclocking, withing a reasonable Price, currently im looking at the B550 Aorus Master and the MSI B550 Unify-X.
They are both great, but the Unify-X Supposedly has a better Topology for Memory Overclocking, besides that, they are mostly equal, is it worth it to got for the 50 euro more expensive Unify-X?

Overclocking which CPU? I see you have an R7 1700 is in your specs list. Unless you have a gold sample I wouldn't bother.

I think you'll have trouble finding a B550 board that supports the 1700.
Most do, like for example the boards i mentioned

i feel like i have a decent sample, i can go higher with clocks, but am thermally limited, ofc i will get a good cooler too. the b550 boards would also be a good upgrade path for a zen 3 cpu later on, but most importantly its still fun to oc, even if its not as good as a stock 5600x

Did you do your research?, because from the support list it appears your CPU won't work on either.
Always check the CPU support list on the vendors website and save yourself a headache ;)

You could always go with an X470 mobo.

That was posted before the Ryzen 5000 launch, and IIRC, the R5000 BIOS versions kicked out a few old models, and the oldest ones were the first to go. So even if you find a board that used to work with R1000, and you have the old BIOS version, you still need a R3000/4000/5000 CPU for flashing. Also, the board may be a newer revision that doesn't support older versions. (common for Gigabyte).

Edit: B550 never supported R1000.

Find a good B450 itx board if you want to overclock. Especially ram is easier to oc on 2-dimm boards. I would consider upgrading to a better CPU. If you have a bit of cash a 3700X or 5600X for 300-350usd plus a okay B550-board will get you far.

Actually, I think I'm wrong anyway, I was thinking about older chipsets, but it doesn't change anything. B550 never supported R1000.

Anyway, you're better off buying a newer CPU, after the graphics card that is. Just be happy that you have a board that supports R5000!

A 1700 running a whopping ~150 Mhz faster because of upgraded board won't do any tangible difference, especially not in gaming.

Why not just overclock on the board you have?
