Yes I am using it also with my Asus Sabertooth....but sure those yours X99 V4 Monsters will just crush everything&anything that you throw at them....those are true Workhorses no doubt especially that 2699 V4....I mean 22c/44t btw what's the TDP on that beast?The 2697 V2 is on the approved list by Asus for the Sabertooth X79. I suspect as with my X99 2683 V4 and 2699 V4 they get a lot more done at lower clock speeds because of the higher core counts. The 22c 44t 2699 V4 runs amazingly cool even under load doing video work, same thing with the 16c 32t 2683 V4 I replaced a 5960X with. I may get a 2697 V2 to try out.
