It depent on what machine i own it is. X58 no, it´s not ready. However the new Zen 3 system or system´s infact, are ready for windows 11. So it´s a mixed bag for me.

If you have an AMD Ryzen CPU, you need to enable AMD fTPM in the UEFI for it to spit out a green tick.

Not sure I would buy that - yet. This system is also not ready but I'm not buying it as this hardware is not that old. The corporate universe (Microsoft's largest - by a HUGE margin - client base), and the powerful IT press would object vehemently (to put it mildly) if they have to retool and buy new hardware just to use W11.

I note the System Requirements page says (my bold underline added) a Microsoft account is required "to complete device setup on first use". I use a local account on all my systems.

I suggest waiting until the PC compatibility checker is updated to provide more specific information about incompatibility issues.

As far as I don't care - how about not using this thread into bash something not even here yet?

Mine is too, it’s running 11 Pro right now, I guess it is now tied to my mobo. Pretty sure my X58 isn’t going to run it, and my 3770K I’m not sure but I don’t really care. It’s days of operation are numbered. I didn’t sell my 5600X so I will just buy a new board for it.

Once installed, Windows 11 seems to run fine on non-supported hardware; the trick is to get it installed.

I have not tried the hardware checker tool but I should be fine.

I have one desktop with the X570 chipset and two others with the B550 chipset. There's also an Acer notebook with an Intel 10th-generation CPU (Core i5), that'll be fine as well.

The only questionable one is a cheap wimpy mini PC with an Intel Celeron J3455. Even if it could run Windows 11, I might just keep it on Windows 10 anyhow.

One thing for certain, I will not be upgrading any of my PCs to Windows 11 on its release day later this year. I will probably do my first upgrade sometime in Q2 2022 so a year from now.

Windows QA is so abymsal that it simply isn't worth my time to be on the bleeding edge. Microsoft couldn't pay me $10,000 to run their beta OS.

I was advised to go into BIOS, and enabled fTPM which I did, and now my system meets with the requirement for Win11.

I can't find anything called fTPM in my laptop BIOS... and it won't give me green check. so i guess i am just out of luck. meh
