You didn't read it till the end did you? nForce was an Nvidia chipset. This is the first time when it will be fully AMD.

Right because the chipset denotes the CPU brand. Like those ATI, ULI, or VIA boards that support both Intel and AMD. How do you differentiate? By stating which CPU goes in the board. Geeze man we had this figured out in 2003! If AMD CPU goes in, it's an AMD platform. If Intel CPU goes in, it's an Intel platform.

It says AMD Ryzen, not just AMD

The title was changed since yesterday, and rightfully so.

Man, there are some EVGA cultists up in these forums holy shit. You say one thing negative about a product of theirs and you get railed. Good times.

Here's to hoping it's not a 1 DPC motherboard. A X570 Dark really seems like something that I could grab to get the fullest extent of performance out of my 5950X processor and would allow me to repurpose my B550-E Strix for a secondary build, but I am not too keen on downgrading to 32 GB of RAM or buying another kit. Still lovely to see, though, their Dark motherboards have been awesome for some time, just made for a thoroughly uninteresting, underwhelming Intel platform which just can't keep up anymore.

I really wish EVGA took advantage of the fact they've grown so much to free themselves from NVIDIA's exclusivity shackles, and that these AMD-based parts sell well enough they're enticed to release RDNA 3 GPUs for the next generation. A Kingpin "7900 XT" would be very high on my upgrade-to list from the 3090 :rockout:

Here's hoping that their first X570 boards aren't as god-awful as their first X79 boards haha

I'm not saying denotes but was not an AMD's but nVidias. EVGA used Nvidia chipsets for AMD and Intel CPUs but you are missing the point. nvidia made chipsets for EVGA now it will be only AMD. That's the difference.

That's grasping at straws. Here's some more straws: those boards were built by Pegatron and Foxconn, which EVGA just licensed the designs from. Doesn't matter, because everyone licenses their designs from one of the big four board partners.

You also missed when the article and title of the article simply said EVGA had never sold a motherboard for AMD processors before... So you're coming into this fight after they changed the criteria.

What I'm saying here is, It's different.
I havent seen that "never sold a motherboard for AMD Processor" statement. Although maybe I was a bit late to the party and it has been corrected before I could see it.
