The chrome/silver heatsink reminds me of my old OCZ Platinums that i used to have... I cant exactly remember what happened to them.

Ouch 1.55v I would not be running that without active cooling on the memory.

The chrome/silver heatsink reminds me of my old OCZ Platinums that i used to have... I cant exactly remember what happened to them.

I still have a DDR500 kit of that in my Socket 939 board in the back room system is retired.

Before I got my silver Royals, I'd had the less flashy Trident RGB's. I can still remember the first time I powered on my rig with the Royals installed. Damn near had to break out some sunglasses because the lighting was leaps and bounds brighter than the regular Tridents!

The Royals have spoiled me indefinitely, I think. Everything else just seems kinda...plain.

Nice! Fast. Probably not worth much in terms of useful performance. Even worse, they are nothing new if they need 1.55V. I'll stick to my 3600 CL14 at 1.45V lol

1.55V... hard pass.

Also the price is quite whacky, I paid ~$130 for 32GB DDR4-3600. A couple of years back, but still...

Hard pass for me. I just want things that works. I despise RGB lighting as well as the over hyped looks of these sticks. To pay for this cosmetic premium pretty much disgusts me. I'll pay the CAS 14-14-14-34 premium, but even these sticks don't have that. I like G.Skill and have no problems mentioning how well the Flare X line is (zero issues in compatibility). But this??? Hell no.

You see - crumpled foil.

I see - multiple polytetrahedrons intermingling at a sub-atomic level in the 4th dimension.

...crumpled foil would not maintain geometric order - these polytetrahedrons do.

Grabbing this kit as soon as it's back in stock at Newegg. So curious as to why it's QVL is "Z590 Asus" only. That doesn't make any sense!

That usually means "engineering sample". What engineering sample I wonder lol. B-die's been out since 2015 at worst.

B die is literally fine up to 1.7v daily if it's kept cool.

Problem is TridentZ has shit heatspreaders.

B die may be fine and everything, but only 1.35V is standard. A little higher is fine, but that much higher may not work as expected with all motherboards.
My rule of thumb is I'll go ~10% above JEDEC voltage, not more. Never had a problem with my kits in almost two decades now.

Yup one has to pay attention to temps at that voltage. If your memory is hitting 50c-60c not going to be good for the stability.

"Ddr4 is rated for up to 1.5 volts 24/7 and temperatures of 81c before damage can occur. However temperatures above 40 degrees cause stability issues and random errors. And temps above 50 degrees Celsius can cause system crashes and huge errors on otherwise stable ram overclocks"

Not to mention 1.7 is 25% more than the standard 1.35. I don't think all motherboards can reliably supply that much voltage.

I have an APEX Z590 and want buy this kit.

Is there exist a double knife edge kit to not run on my system ?
CPU 10900K and I plan to buy also a cheap i3-10105F for a few HWBOT submissions on a specific division.
is possible CPU don’t let boot up, and if yes…. can I set them to lower frequency with very tight timing?

You can overclock them really high.
People are forgetting that these B die chips have 10 layered PCB's they should be the A2 revision. Typhoon shows A1 but it's a wrong read as far as I know.
AHOC has a wonderful video on YouTube about these sticks they can run 4600mhz on low latency albeit with 1.9-2v. His sample was send by G Skill so I don't know if they differ but these sticks should be one of the best produced binned single ranked B dies at the moment.
The sticks having 1.55v is not a problem. They can take much more beating. They are fine on I9's or I7's but I wouldn't recommend using them on i5 or below due to worse IMC bins but you never know when you win the lottery. I've ordered these sticks for my Ryzen 5800x I'll see how far my infinity fabric will cap me.
PS: Make sure it's the F4-4000C14D-16GTES SKU make sure it's GTES.

Those sticks are high binned than mine but I can confirm B-die has 10 layer PCB.

It will be interesting as well on a 5800x
I know is ready to bolt on kit and no need more frequency, tighter timings to low at 12 for some results is nice to have.
A2 revision at HWBOT marketplace usually sold per 600$ , crazy module ones and binned from many they test for their own, but not worth this price and don’t know how much they torture it
At 300-350$ is OK for the tight from the box 4000-14-15-15-15
