Well, of course rasterization is still mostly here now, but don't you see a future where it is largely phased out?

Maybe you folks need to try RT for yourselves. It really is stunning in some scenarios.
Of course, but only when we have fast enough hardware, maybe in 2 or 3 generations of GPUs, Ampere and RDNA2 aren't fast enough.
I tried RT, but there are 2 problems, performance loss and especially no games, but maybe something like Forza could change this.

We need nvidia +arm to break up the x86 duopoly of intel and amd

Yeah, we definitely need a company that has higher margins than both of the mentioned companies, to bring the prices down. /s :banghead:

AMD is also boosting their profit margin as high as they can, because they don't need to sell faster CPU at lower price than competition. More competition will force prices down, triopoly are always better than duopoly.

AMD is at about 45% profit margins Intel at 60% and Nvidia is predicted to move over 70% from close to 65% that it is now (if I remember the numbers correctly).

So? do you like working minimum wage jobs or you do like high paid job? corporations are the same, if they think they can earn more dough per work done, they will do it.
Also profit margin doesn't say anything about how greedy a corporation is anyways, you have Apple at 38% profit margins, and rise to 42.5% this quarter.

Corporations are not the same. The do have the same targets, but they are not the same. Companies differ in how they treat customers, or how they manage to stay on top. If I simplify by using your own example, not all people will be willing to get that high paid job by using any means. Some people will just try to be better, some people will try to sabotage the competition, others will try both.
AMD, Intel and Nvidia are making their most income in the same market. Apple makes it's income from services mostly and even when talking about hardware, smartphones and tablets, full devices, not computer parts.

Nvidia won't or actually can't lower their profit margins, if Nvidia forced Radeon Technology Group out of the market Nvidia will be subjected to anti-trust law. In this case Duopoly is just as bad as monopoly since 1 player is much more dominant than the other, only when a third player show up you will see actual competition.
And do tell me whatever Nvidia did trying to sabotage AMD? by making better products and constantly innovating?

Oh come on. I didn't bought my first PC yesterday. We all know Nvidia and it has nothing to do with Radeon's survival. Nvidia tried to throw AMD out of the market and relegate them to secondary solutions for the poor with PhysX and keeps trying the same tactic with more closed libraries and proprietary techs all those years. Nvidia's goal is it's solutions to be the premium owns and AMD's something like fast integrated graphics on a discrete card. Solutions that can offer fast 3D's but with half the graphics disabled because they will be using Nvidia's proprietary and 1000 times closed techs.
And you want me to tell you what? That 3090 will be much more convincing that anything I say, especially with that price tag.

I want to tell you that anything wrong with AMD this past decade was done by...AMD themselves  .
Nvidia bought PhysX with money, they have to make money from that, it's called an investment (though Phyx was kinda fail). If you think Nvidia must do more philantropic endeavor you should knock at Apple door for that.
All in all stop with the fake morality, AMD gladly sell you 2500usd GPU just as well as Nvidia whenever they can.
Maybe you should write a letter to Dr. Lisa Su to give away all their Graphic IP to Intel, so that we have a proper Triopoly instead of duopoly LMAO

Meh. I'm still mad at MediaTek for violating the GPL blatantly, and hiding behind the Chinese court system to keep from being prosecuted for it.

Yeah, except nVidia will use any means necessary to keep people in their ecosystem. AMD will need years (if not decades) to reach nVidias level of anti-competitivenes and anti-consumerism. It's funny how you try to show AMD in the worst light possible just to make nVidia (and Intel) look less sh*tty. It almost looks like you enjoy being vendor locked and ripped off and you need "AMD will do it too" to feel better. Whatever floats your boat ...
