What do you think about this RAM

Hello, I saw a model of RAM Memory and i'd like to buy it, what do you think about? i'm going to put the link so you can analyze it

"Looks" pretty gimmicky to me. But then I tend to pay attention to what's happening on my monitors and prefer my cases, and what's inside them, not be distracting or draw attention to themselves. But that's me.

I personally have not heard of that brand and the specs do not say who makes the actual modules so I really cannot speak to the quality. That said, RAM in general tends to be pretty reliable.

You just need to make sure your motherboard supports it before spending your money. Your board's website should have a list of compatible memory. You don't have to buy listed RAM but you should buy RAM with the same specs as listed RAM to ensure compatibility.

Another issue you might have is clearance. On some boards, the RAM slots are located fairly close to the CPU socket. If you have a large CPU cooler, with those tall sticks, they may not fit.

3600C18.. should be ok if you aren’t looking for top performance. It should run ok though.

if its on the CVL list its good. If specs are close to something on CVL list its worth a try.

There are a few here who bought Oloy RAM and were satisfied. Pretty sure if you use the search feature you may run into a couple of threads.

Oloy is a brand that uses the same budget ics everyone else uses, corsair, gskill, patriot etc. If its what you like visually and fits your budget give it a try.

Sorry, but it's not "the same".

See, the companies you mentioned puts their DRAM modules through a sorting process and all the parts that don't meet their standards, are usually sold on, mostly to xina.
There companies like this buys them cheap in bulk, sort them again and sells them to people that don't know better.
I guess this isn't the worst of those brands, but there's most likely very little headroom to go anywhere outside of the rated spec.
So what you're getting is close to the bottom of the barrel and that's why it's also a lot cheaper.

It's possible that these "high-end" modules by the company are better than their normal super cheap stuff though.

Ill clarify for you. They ALL use the same ICs in their BUDGET modules.
Did you bother reading the link you provided? The oloy topped out at 4000+, id say thats plenty of headroom for poorly binned ics
You do realize the modules linked by the op are ddr4 3600? So no the 3200 you linked are clearly not their high end. If your going to try and bag on one of your clearly beloved Chinese companies at least do it properly.

Err it says 3600Mhz, we all know, or most of us know that is false, it's MT/s.

EDIT: You can enter DDR5 & compare it to your currant DDR4 kit to see if it's worth the switch-over.

Everyone doesn't want to pay premium for overclockable RAM. I got a cheap kit (32GB 3200 CL16 at 179EUR) myself and OC'd the little they go (3200 to 3466).

Yeah these types of kits are hit or miss
Frankly one is usually lucky if the xmp rated speed profile works or is stable lol
I'd usually not care if a mother board is on the memories qvl list but this type I would.

Example my x99 system will run 3200c14 4x8gb kit perfectly but won't even post on 3200c16 4x8gb that's how whack these kits can be.
Neither are on the qvl.

Same? No, it's not the "same" as they're screened differently and the companies have different targets for this screening. But you're right, there are only so many memory vendors these days, but there are a lot of different chips and binnings from those companies.
Just compare some budget Samsung B-die modules to some properly binned and screened B-dies and you'll see that there's a huge difference using the "same" chips.

No bias, I've simply worked in the industry for most of my working life and I have been to the companies that makes these things (from the ICs, to the chips and the modules) and I have seen the difference.
I have nothing against this company as such, but there are reasons why cheap RAM is cheap and you never know what you'll get.

The entire point of binning and screening is to separate the budget, from the mid, from the high end. You just forgot to add that bit.

Unless you really turn down settings the 2060 isn't really strong enough in most games for the ram to be a bottleneck.... Grab a decent 3200CL16 or 3600CL18 kit whatever is cheaper from a reputable brand and you'll be golden.

There is only THREE memory chip manufacturers.
Samsung
SK hynix
Micron

It's most likely going to be SK Hynix memory chips in the Oloy memory kits.
The same memory chips that you would find in Corsair lpx or Kingston KVR for example.
Just get the cheapest kit if your going for cheap kits. There will be minimal difference, you're just donating your money to the Nike logo essentially.
