Hi all, new here, sorry for my english, Portuguese.

My Desktop PSU is only 310 w and no cable to connect to 6 / 8 PINS of GPU.
Is it possible to use an older / different PSU outside the case just to connect the 6 or 8 pins cable ?

Thanks in advance ! :)

Do it online on youtube, that psu you have will not be enough to drive a pcie slot, so save money up and huy a 520W PSU...

Did you open the System Specs? Of course to be sure he should answer the question but my money is on a Asus no-name PSU with a i5 4460s and a 1050 Ti, not the AUSU model the TPU did a review on back in the days since that model have a 6 pin connector. So the PSU is delivering the 75 W (74 W) for the PCI-e slot atm.

The proprietary hp psu ( 310 W and no cable to connect to 6 / 8 PINS for GPU) already came in the sytem, i wanted to use other PSU outside the case just to feed the 6 or 8 pin of the gpu. Now i have gtx 1650 (no extra power) but i want to upgrade the gpu. Thats it.

The cables that feeds the board and CPU are both 4 pin only.

I have this PC:
HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop 690-0016np

Added 8 GB ram module ( 16 GB now ) + 1 TB HDD ( 2 TB now ), and will add an SSD 512 GB.

Your PSU is probably 15x14cm, so you could replace it with a 500-600w. Indeed you will need a 4pin to 8pin adapter. Just be careful with the GPU length, 18-20cm should be the limit in your case. If you position the SSD at the same height with the GPU you might find a little more space. A single fan 1650-S or 1660-S (or -ti) seems like the best option, I don't think your case can dissipate the heat from a e.g. 200w GPU.

Well it turned out that the order he put the PSU wasn’t the same as then CPUs, so I got fooled as well.
