MSI PC Cases Are Future Ready With USB 3.2 Gen 2x2

Besides catering to the specific needs of current gamers with existing products, MSI is also dedicated to paving the path for future industry standards with upcoming technologies. In a beautiful parallel of rudimentary technological advancement, the existence of the Type-C port transformed itself from a pioneering product feature to a ubiquitous cardinal requirement for many tech products you see today. The widespread adoption of the Type-C port is no news. While USB Type-C describes the physical connector, USB 3.2 Gen 2 exemplifies the transmission capabilities of said port.

USB 3.2 Gen 2 has a transmission speed of 10 Gbps. To further juice things up, the USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 has a transmission speed of 20 Gbps. Many existing, recently released, or upcoming MSI gaming PC cases' Type-C port on the IO port supports USB 3.2 Gen 2x2. Users can synergize these MSI PC cases with MSI motherboards by bridging a USB Gen2 Type-C port. Although current MSI motherboards' front Type-C only supports USB 3.2 Gen 2's 10 Gbps transmission speed, we believe that USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 will become the norm soon. 3.2 gen 2x2 is 20Gb, about 2GB/s in reality

i only made sense of it after buying a 10Gb NVME enclosure

Glad to see someone pushing the USB-C standard forward, I just wish it was somebody who could make a case that is not so damned same ole same same boring assed rectangular boxen of yesteryear....

I know it's a joke, but I don't understand? I think that the opposite is more true. If a case has terrible airflow, like an MSI one, then the hardware within will throttle, producing less heat. Conversely, if a case has good airflow, then the hardware will run at higher clocks, producing more heat. Recall that heat =/ temperature.

Maybe you meant that MSI cases have great airflow...

Type A only goes up to 3.2 gen 1, or 10Gbps at the moment. 20 is only supported by type C.

USB 3 Gen 1 is 5Gb/s, Gen 2 is 10Gb/s.

This naming convention is infuriating.
Nowadays I just call it USB 3 5G, 10G or 20G.
