Yup, won’t be our problem though as we’ll take our business somewhere else. Been with them for 4 years for that server, which sure is paid off like 5 times now
 
So not only is TPUCaptue not working. The inmage hositng is down so all my old post are blank now Not even an X just nothing. lol

people have been uploading bad things, including child porn, so this is becoming a huge nuisance and i feel like i should just delete all uploads and be done with it

I would probably just not support TPU capture any longer. I feel like this is a problem that is just going to get out of hand. Maybe delete whatever got hit with a take down so they resolve the abuse complaint and put TPUcapture out with my old gold fish. Keeping of course the forums images and anything uploaded from gpu-z.

Whatever you need to do. Maybe report it to the authorities
 
Just move it to be part of the forum, and require a login to use so you can ban the users?

A lot of good content is on the forum from the image host, i'd hate to lose it all
 
Uploads from within GPU-Z are hosted somewhere else and not affected

I can't distinguish forum uploads from TPUCapture uploads from manual (web-based) uploads. So basically I'd have to go through every single image (4 million of them) to sort and categorize somehow. Not fun, especially if there's a chance you'll see something that you can't unsee.

From what I understand, all these problematic uploads came through the techpowerup.org web upload interface, not tpucapture.

In theory I could extract all links to images hosted on tpu.org from our forums and keep those images and delete the rest.

Probably, I could keep the old images around in storage, so people can report missing images or ping me if they want to recover something specific

It's a lot of images, al the way back to 2017 when we moved over from GN

I can think of a ton of threads that are really wonderful, that have a tons of images. It would be a shame to loose them.

Storage is practically free nowadays, I think it's less than 100 GB
 
Yeah, i like the idea of keeping those that are linked from the forum and deleting the rest... maybe have the rest go to a redirect image saying the service was shut down, contact X for a backup if needed?
The odds on someone having something important hosted on TPU image are looooooow, but there may be other forums or web guides using it for that

And then make the new one require a forum login, or only work if we throw images directly to the forum?

I love TPU capture, but i could learn to live without it as long as we keep our precious uploaded images
