I know how you feel, I moved to New Hampshire a few years ago, and the first place I moved to ONLY had DSL with 1.5Mbps service..... That's right, 1500Kbps....then I moved to a slightly more populated area and now have 1.2Gbps (1200Mbps) for $33.99/month is you can believe that.... I've had a 10GBase-T home network for years and now my internet actually makes real use of it.... But yeah, that first year of 1.5Mbps was horrible, had just built a new PC and couldn't even claim the free game downloads that came with my hardware (I remember I was downloading Borderlands 3, it had taken me days to get to 60GBs, and then Epic's stupid program just restarted the download for no apparent reason) couldn't even watch full HD YouTube.
I live in a mid-sized town in the middle of the UK. I've got the fastest broadband plan available in my area which gives me 30 Mbps download and 4 Mbps upload for £26 a month. Meanwhile, my parents in an equal sized town in Hungary have got the slowest plan in their area which is a 250 Mbps download for a fraction of what I pay.

Anyway, whatever speed I've got, I still would never consider subscribing for a game streaming service. Whatever is physically on your PC can be trusted to work whenever you want to. Whatever is up there, somewhere in the cloud (meaning, someone else's PC) cannot. Also, why would I pay monthly to play a game that I've already bought? I'm already paying monthly for my crappy broadband service. How many more services do I have to pay for? Am I made out of money?

The issue is that you've bought the game in the first place, the goal is "own nothing and be happy", everything will be on rent.

Every piece of my body and soul is against this concept.

GDDR6 prices are doubled and you will re-release 2060 in 2022. Is all you care money, Nvidia? Even did not release RTX 3050. Said "I care gamers" or you care miners? Even if you care miners, maybe you should release 3050 Ti with 8GB 128 bit bus, at least gamers can buy it from $350-400, not $600 for 2060.

The 3050 is produced in 8nm Samsung. No free capacity available. 2060 is produced in 12 nm TSMC, capacities available because smartphone SOCs are moving on to 7/8 and 5 nm.

OK. Well. RTX 4000 series will release in next year, Q4. Why do Nvidia refresh 2060 with 12GB? Why do not they make a 2050 or just 2060 with 6GB? It is pointless to me. I think that miners will buy 2060 12GB and there is no LHR on 2060.

Yes.

I don't know why people are still hung up on this point.
Students who use GPU for their courses have to build PC or buy a laptop. GPUs are necessary for students and kids. Nvidia and AMD release unaffordable GPUs and know that people need. This situation is like raise the water prices, people must buy water. At this point, I will buy Intel GPUs and CPUs since AMD and Nvidia's agressive policies.

criticizing that these new cards must be remarked CMPs seems weird
Dude, we had even crazier and thinner speculations are making it into headlines all over the net. Why not a perfectly reasonable assumption that NVidia is cutting losses on CPM lineup which even miners and scalpers don't care about? Nowhere in my posts did I say that this is nothing other than my personal opinion, so if you want to disagree - I understand.
It is pointless to me. I think that miners will buy 2060 12GB and there is no LHR on 2060.
It doesn't have to have an LHR variant. Hashrates are already bad enough that a beat-up P104-100, a 4y.o. 1070Ti, or a locked 3060 makes more sense, especially with price considerations.

At this point, I will buy Intel GPUs and CPUs since AMD and Nvidia's agressive policies.
And Intel is just an innocent fluffy bunny in this situation... yeah...
Ever since GPU shortage started, retailers slowly began to increase the difference between models w/ iGPU and without one. In some cases it could be as high as double.
Last night I was browsing components for a customer build and was a bit shocked to see a $100 core i3-10100F next to $180 i3-10100 (corresponding MSRP is $97 and $122).

In 2019 I thought, nVidia would produce a card similar to AMD 5700 xt 16 GB (exclusively for apple) for content creators. This would be a 2060 super with 12 or 2070 with 16 GB Vram but they never appeared. Same with the 30x0 series. Apparently they want to force students / content creators with high VRam requirements to buy the high-end models / Titan. The 2060 12 GB is an absolute exception, I agree with you, probably for miners. But low-income content creators will also be happy about the card, if available.

The reason is apparently just greed and too many not sold 2060 chips they still have in their warehouses or something...

Anyone wanna bet on how much over MSRP these'll be?
I'm guessing MSRP $400, street price $700+.

AMD will fight back with 5700xt. So travel back time is possibly after all.
