Since december 2020 I have had 4 3060ti cards. Some of them have been reviewed many times, some barely. I wanted to share my findings. I test for noise, temp, consumption, undervolt (both lowest and best performing), stock performance in SOTTR.

Test system:
Check my specs by profile.

Palit 3060ti dual OC: 25cm, 2 slot, 630g. There are 2 identical cards under different names: PNY revel epic og Gainward Ghost

::palit Products - GeForce RTX™ 3060 Ti Dual OC ::

Lowest/highest undervolt: 1560@731mv\1900@875mv, 86%\102% of stock perf, 15.2GHz vram OC.

SOTTR stock 1080 highest: 152fps(131\155fps UV), 70C, 38dB, 195W(120W UV), 925mv.

MSI 3060ti Gaming Z trio: 32cm, 2.7 slot, 1460g.

GeForce RTX™ 3060 Ti GAMING Z TRIO 8G LHR | Graphics Card | MSI Global

Lowest/highest undervolt: 1650@743mv\2050@950mv, ca 87%\105% of stock perf, 15.6GHz vram OC.

SOTTR stock 1080 highest: 157fps(136\165fps UV), 71C, 32dB, 238W(126W UV), 1056mv.

Asus 306ti Dual OC: 27cm, 2.7 slot, 1050g.

ASUS Dual GeForce RTX 3060 Ti OC Edition 8GB GDDR6

Lowest/highest undervolt:
1575@737mv\1950@950mv, ca 87\103% of stock perf, 15.8GHz vram OC.

SOTTR stock 1080 highest: 151fps(132\156fps UV), 65C, 33dB (Quietbios), 202W (119W UV), 968mv.

Asus 3060ti TUF OC: 30cm, 2.7 slot, 1090g.

ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 3060 Ti OC Edition 8GB GDDR6 | Graphics Card | ASUS Global

Lowest/highest undervolt:
1650@731mv\2000@925mv, ca 89\104% av stock ytelse, 15.6GHz vram OC.

SOTTR stock 1080 highest: 152fps (135\159fps UV), 66C, 32dB, 199W (125W UV), 943mv.

Sort of noise normalized testing 70cm away from pc 33dB med 1600@750mv, 22-24C ambient, Corsair 4000D airflow stock fans:

MSI Trio 56C, 56% fan.

Asus TUF 56C, 65% fan.

Asus Dual 60C, 63% fan.

Palit Dual 66C, 38% fan. (Palit has far higher fan rpm max than others.)

Summary:

Premiumcards are better binned, 75-100MHz at same voltage.

MSI trio has awesome RGB, Asus TUF and Dual has clean design with subtle RGB, Palit has a weird design and ugly RGB.

Undervolting to lowest voltage where vram can run at full speed varied. Performance at lowest UV is always 86-89% perf vs stock, undervolt with highest frequency yields a bit lower consumption (10-20% vs stock) and a few % extra performance
:)

The card I liked best overall was the Asus 3060ti tuf oc. Cooling is on pair with Msi trio, it's a bit smaller, stock consumption is 40W lower for 3% perf loss which I think is worth it. It's generally a bit cheaper. If you are a RGB fan then Trio might be a better call, also Trio has 2x8-pins and can draw up to 260W vs 220W max on the other cards with 1x8-pin so there is a bit more OC headrom in the Trio.

Asus Dual surprised me with a good cooler that was far better than Palits even though the Asus is not that much bigger. It weighs a lot more though, 1050g vs 630g so the extra copper and aluminum must transfer heat better.

I recently sold both the Msi Trio and Palit dual. My son got the Adus dual as it was 120usd cheaper than the Trio and I use the Tuf. If you have question, please ask :)

Thanks for sharing your findings, especially the UV tests! As the RTX3060Ti is currently one of the most sought after GPUs, I'm sure potential buyers will find it useful.

Wow, 4 different ones... Are you paying scalpers? I haven't been able to get me my hands on one yet but I will only pay MSRP or less. I refuse to contribute to the problem.

I should really play with my EVGA XC 3060Ti and see how much I can undervolt her, see if the temps drop any, but I just don't have the time for it with everything going on right now. I can't even free up an hour to play a game at the moment.

Benchmark Scores I once clocked a Celeron-300A to 564MHz on an Abit BE6 and it scored over 9000.
I've had the FE, Palix StormX, Asus Dual, and Asus TUF here and will be picking the TUF from now on. It's quiet, it's well built. The only downside is having a robust enough case/slot to support such a heavy card.

Do you think you will ever pay MSRP again ?

Palit I bought for 580usd, Asus dual 690, Tuf 750, Trio 810. I sold Palit to a miner for 900usd, and Msi to a friend for 810 like I bought it for. I mine a bit on the side when not gaming so the cards pay themselves.

Do you think you will ever pay MSRP again ?

What temps did you get with the Palit card ? hot spot please if you monitored that. Thanks.
Hotspot is usually about 12C warmer, it was around 78-79C with the UV and core at 66C.

Doesn't look good for msrp atm :/

Palit is okay, it's better than Zotac twin edge or Gigabyte eagle, but it's a lower tier 3060ti card and the cooler is a bit below FE. Asus dual is on pair with FE cooler, and quietbios is impressive!

Thanks for the answer, so yeah, way over MSRP.

I have expensive electricity, a 3060Ti would earn me $3.50/day according to nicehash. No wonder so many people are mining right now. I used to see calculations of maybe 50 cents a day.

I live in Norway, we have a 25% tax. The Palit was very close to msrp here, the Asus-cards was about 25% above their msrp, and Trio was about 30% above. I pay about 0.12usd for electricity and earn about 2k usd a month after electricitybill atm.

I live in a county that spends most of its money making the rich richer through defense spending. My sales taxes are much lower unless you are buying alcohol, tobacco or marijuana. Instead of paying more in taxes, we allow big corporations to rob us here. A great example is I pay almost $12,000 a year for health insurance for 3 covered people. Plus, the insurance only pays 80% of the charges, I am responsible for the other 20%. My electricity rates change every six months, during the winter months I pay around $0.35kwh, in the summer months I pay about $0.25kwh.

i mean, look at temps of palit compared to others. yes i know it's ok and waiting for arriving my 3060ti giving 1660s a hard days in noise-dampered closed box near i7-10700k so card gets 80 in games, but because of good cooler (and good noise-iso on case) it's not as loud as f :D

MSI cards are most of the times the quietest, its impressive
and asus strix too. i don't know if they are same price, these new "supreme" piece of *HYPE* i think is easily on par with strix, but, i like asus more here, even msi is good at high end. i just don't get it when top versions on random manufacturers gets same price. what's the logic here, lol..

Small update on the Asus dual vs tuf cooler. When mining in a similar case the dual uses avg 152W@1560@737mv, 15.8GHz vram 1700rpm/70% fan and temp is 55C, tuf uses 165W@1620@731mv, 15.5GHz vran 1700rpm/70% fan and temp is 54C. The dual cooler is very impressive being the next cheapest Asus 3060ti card (the 20cm 2 slot dual mini being the entry option).

That being said, the tufs design with middle fan spinning opposite reduces noise, at 70% fan speed the dual 7s noisier, I must set it to 67-68% to match noiselevel, and then temp rises by 1-2C.

Oh, now I know why you have 4 and I have 0.
I only have 2, sold 2, my son has the dual, I have the tuf. I generally game, but when not gaming we let both setups mine.

Originally all Asus TUF were at MSRP and the OC variant are slightly more expensive, however stocks for non-OC were pretty much non existant it seems.
Though I think the Asus TUF OC line were all worth it, high quality build and good binning too.

We never got 3060ti TUF oc at msrp where I live, 3080 TUF was sold at msrp, but 3060ti TUF oc costed 20% above msrp even at launch :/

In my experience, I tend to steer clear of Palit Dual series because the cooling solution is one of the worst. My first experience with the Palit Dual series was with the GTX 1070. While they boldly advertised as dual fan cooling solution then, the card was feather weight, even when compared to a Zotac GTX 1070 Mini. The latter was substantially heavier despite the smaller heatsink. So that leads me to believe that the cost cutting is on the heatsink that uses very thin aluminium fins/ less heat pipes.

The cooler on the Palit Dual don't perform well when it comes to cooling the GTX 1070, and not surprising, worst than the Zotac Mini cooler. I don't know if things have changed with the Palit Dual Series over the years, but based on the weight you mentioned, it sounds like the same problem persists. It is the cheapest of the bunch you mentioned I believe since it is the entry level model.

I'll get my hands on a 3060Ti or 3070 at MSRP when the 4xxx series launch. I really don't need a new card anyway. My Vega64 still plays everything. I got my hands on an XBOX Series X four months ago and at the moment I play that more than PC games by a long shot. The quick resume function is a game changer.

It's not bad, the Zotac twin edge and Gigabyte eagle have worse noise (42dB vs 38-39 on Palit) at similar temps.

The Gigabyte weighs 200g more so it should outperform it, but I think the blow through design at second fan somewhat helps the Palit perform better. The msi dual fan, Asus dual mini, Msi ventus 2x and maybe a few others also performs worse than Palit, but it's definetively a lower tier card.

I've had my card for two weeks (MSI 3060 Ti Gaming Z Trio LHR) and only just started playing around with it. So far I'm at 2010@0.950, played for three hours in Cyberpunk 2077 maxed in the city/RT on with Psycho SSR and it was perfect@1080p. Temperatures never went past 58c and I couldn't hear it :) Haven't touched memory yet but this card is awesomely perfect for my needs. Will mess around again a bit tonight.
