Antec Inc., a Californian supplier of high-performance computer components and accessories for the gaming, PC upgrade and Do-It-Yourself market, presents the NX250, the new model in the NX series. The mid-tower is now available at a very affordable price of € 54,99 (recommended retail price including VAT).

The NX series from Antec offers a large selection of gaming cases with LED lighting and eye-catching front panel designs. The new NX250 case rocks a futuristic front panel design featuring a brushed-aluminium looks as well as mesh air intake slots for idea airflow and optimized cooling performance fort he components.

Furthermore, it has a side panel made of tempered glass and puts the built-in components in the limelight. The case from the entry-level segment measures 386 mm x 215 mm x 448 mm (D x W x H) and is compatible with ATX, mATX and ITX motherboards. The NX250 supports graphics cards with a length of up to 310 mm and CPU radiators with a maximum height of 160 mm. It offers space for up to seven fans and is factory-fitted with one ARGB fan in the rear. In addition, the tower offers space for a 360 mm radiator at the front and a 120 mm cooler at the rear of the chassis. The case is equipped with dust filters at the front, top and bottom and makes it easy to keep clean.

Seven expansion slots, two 3.5-inch drive cages (convertible to 2.5-inch bays) and two dedicated 2.5-inch bays offer sufficient space for drives and cards. The I / O panel offers Power and LED control button, a USB 3.0, two USB 2.0 ports and Mic / HD audio jacks.

A front panel I can get used to liking. What hurts the case is the usb 2.0 and 3.0 ports, instead of usb-c and 3.1 (or 3.2).

Not that "eye-catching" IMO, but at least the fans can suck air pretty fine there.

This ridiculous "2021 budget case = one single USB 3.0 port!" trend needs to die. As a reminder for those suffering from memory loss, 2013 TechpowerUp were reviewing 2013-era £30-£40 budget cases that came with 4x USB ports like this. Way past time modern case designers were called out for regressing on USB connectivity vs what we had 8 years ago...
I guess minimalism could be a reason. My 2nd rig's Corsair 4000D has only one 3.0 port as well (and one C, but at least for me that's totally useless).

Thanks, not sure why i changed it, was having head problems is the best i can say.

I'm fed up with same old boxes though. I only do Matx now anyway, but might consider a new board once i have cash for a 5600x. Next New build will be back to Intel though I think.

That front panel is going to hurt airflow a little. If you look carefully, they've added another filter inside.

Personally I like that 4000D so much that I'll probably get one for my main rig as well. No problem though even I'll be putting a mATX system there :D

But that looks like the system can get pretty much fresh air, when compared to some cases with a solid front mask and just some little vents on the side.

I dont get the hangups everyone has on usb-c. Yes it's great for phones, but what are people using them on PC for?
Because:

A) It's much faster & easier to use, since you don't always have to check to see which way you are holding the cable end before inserting it.....
B) It's faster for data transfers
C) It takes up less room on the front panels as well as the mobo, leaving more space for other things...
D) The more we push case makers to include them, the faster they will, which will also lead to moar peripherals changing over to them, which will speed up the end of life for A & B connectors, as well as the other horribly sucky variants like mini & micro USB...

I'm sure others can think of moar reasons, but these are my top 4 fwiw :)
