What i think is that AMD had a surplus of quad core procs with one defective core, and they just disabled that defective core and now use lame PR to sell these procs to the masses.

theres the truth right there and the fanbois are just there lapping it up like its gravy ...

I bet there will be a limited number that will be binned down like this. I bet the majority of them will be made that way.

yeah, cause all teh fanbois who heard and thinks thats AMD's three legged dog is teh ish and flock in droves to buy it ... if teh process was that poor that it created so many three legged dogs they'd abandon it ... or at least i think they would ...

Well, three legged dogs can still bite.....whether or not they are what you hypothesize ...these can still grab some market share and take off....they do have the potential to bet up the C2D clock for clock,,,,when they are released we will see....

The pavement that AMD or Intel walks on does not always have to be what we think it should be....
