Everyone keeps saying this but I don’t have a backup PSU to test

Do you have a lesser GPU to test the system with?

This is what I would do.

In afterburner or alternative tool reduce power limit for gpu to at least 80%
Disable XFR on your Ryzen

These two things should keep you at safe power levels for the PSU.

Test your ram in the OS either using karhu ram tester or HCI, with HCI you can run multiple instances at once to get round 32bit limits and utilise multiple threads.

As soon as able replace the PSU.

Swap the two GPUs and test again, if it doesn't crash it's a fair indicator the PSU is to blame.

If it's an error message about failing to initialize DirectX, while in the middle of the game, that usually is an unstable GPU core OC. (on a good PSU)

I looked into the Gigabyte program and it states if no receipt only a replacement is available and I'm not sure if the replacement would be better than the original

Everything is stock and I ran Windows Memory Diagnostic and it passed after 10hrs

But I would think in all my games the GTX 670 wouldn't fair well

I posted the error up above it was like DEV 6328 for one game which was Warzone

Regardless if the older GPU played the games well or not, you need to work on pinpointing the problem.

i would have suspected RAM issues first but since that is fine, your GPU seems to be hitting the bucket.

try lowering your GPU performance and see if it still fails or not.

else run a stress test on everything except the GPU and see if that fails. if it doesnt then run a full system wide stress test, but i would be wary. that PSU is a known hazard and stress testing probably will kill your whole system.

That's why I suggested the GPU swap, so the system could be tested at a lower power level as the OG one may be causing spikes the PSU can't handle.
It only has to be swapped for testing purposes and can be swapped back after.

Use the PSU that's in the GTX 670 rig and STOP using that Gigabyte POS!!!!!!

The 670 Rig only has a 400-450W PSU. Nowhere near enough for a 3070Ti

but thanks to Mr. W1zz I got a Corsair RMX850 that I can test the system with

IF the new PSU does not solve the crashing then you can try removing one stick of RAM and see if you still get these crashes.
Remove the correct one usually B1 or B2.

Also check when you running dual channel that it is installed in A2 and B2 usually.

RAM had be ruled out as I’ve ran several tests and RAM has passed everyone and they are installed properly

From my own experience with RAM testing usually with memtest64 from here. It can pass with no errors yet still cause random browser tabs to crash. (firefox)
Too much faith is put in these types of memtest software.

That’s the thing it’s not a browser issue. It’s games. Hell I had 100 tabs open with no issues. Problem comes once a game is started. And I tested more than just with Memtest

Well you didnt use the tools I suggested, not sure how good the tests are that you ran.

Also people have warned you about the PSU, hence me advising you reduce the power, as its possible your PSU cannot handle your components at stock.

XFR is stock on Ryzen, disabling it vastly reduces power load, spikes.
Reducing the power limit for the GPU is quick, easy and safe, very simple to see if it makes things more stable.

So I have some positive news. This morning I replaced the Gigabyte PSU with the Corsair RMx850 and I have not had a system crash. So far I only tested Call of Duty Warzone but I've been able to complete 5 Full games without a single crash. Where as with the Gigabyte PSU it wouldn't even make it 10 minutes through a game before crashing. Something else that is pretty interesting is In Warzone I'm seeing a much higher Avg FPS, I'm getting 120 AVG vs before around 70-90.

like mentioned above even if I RMA it they will only send a replacement and from what I have found so far they haven't revised the PSU they only lowered the OPP trigger so it triggers at a lower wattage and that's it

There could also be a manufacturing defect in your PSU that was causing the issues and nothing to do with the OPP.
You cant really sell your old PSU and I would advise against using it in another build. RMA seems like the logical option.

If they give you a replacement PSU you could sell that. Glad to hear the issue was resolved.

That happened to me in 2009

Use it in a business rig, no hpc.

If you bought it from Amazon contact them, it depends on how quickly/well you convince them but say that it's a fire hazard! Amazon will cover you in 99% cases with a solid reason, well after the return window. That's the experience I have with them, if it's some one (big?) like Newegg you may still have a better chance than with Gigabyte. A full refund is possible, depends on you convincing them. I wouldn't suggest this if it weren't for Gigabyte, so at least try it.
