I'm not sure i'd want it on a modern PC, but a quick google gave the answer as to why it can help - bypassing windows timers which may have issues from other causes

Supposedly that timing fix is already in modern OS's (since vista SP2), but certain games install this bundled with them and those games can benefit

There are 2 AMD core patches for W7, i think it's related to core parking or something. I presume it's in W8-11 already...

yeah I think this has been of the scheduler for a long long time. looks like you referenced it being included in SP2. I remember using this way back when multi core CPUs were new. Thats it though.

I am going to assume you meant Version 1.1.4. And that version came out way back in 2009!

I have to admit, I am a bit flummoxed as to why you would even attempt to run a 13 year old optimization program, designed for Windows XP to improve performance of XP era games, on a modern "Intel" processor. ??? Did you not notice the "AMD" in the title?

I can't tell if incredibly brave or... !

its feels so goood in games !!
I have to agree with AlwaysHope
think this is a placebo effect.

its work great there to
What does that mean?

IMO, if there is not a measurable improvement, then it is not worth it. Are you using actual empirical data? That is, are you taking before and after benchmark measurements? Or are you just going by what you [think you] see with your eyes?

I am reminded of some folks who disable their page files, then report, "nothing broke" so they leave the page file disabled, thinking that is better. Or as suggested above, it is just the placebo affect where we want it work great so we believe it is working great. Yet if one to do some real scientific measuring, or "double-blind" A/B comparisons, there would be no difference - or things might even have degraded a little bit.

Edit comment: fixed minor typo.

I'm glad its "working" for you but that seems pretty subjective. I would be curious if your actual issue is HPET and this tool is in addition to the driver disabling it for you. In which case you would get the same benefits from simply disabling HPET (or enabling it in BIOS or the OS if your machine simply has issues with time). I would then test and confirm all of this using frames/DPC latency etc.

I probably would not recommend installing drivers meant for other CPUs to fix OS schedulers that are no longer used.

oh really ? because i test in some games like overwatch quake champions and quake live its work great there to
You'll need to provide evidence to back that up - it's only meant to fix an issue on older AMD CPU's where the cores would lose time sync when queried with an older method
newer OS's shouldnt even support that method, so its unlikely (but not impossible) for it to actually change anything

Issues with your system and HPET timing are more likely

OP, it works because you want it to work. You're playing yourself in the end.
