EK, has partnered up with XFX to bring you a factory water-cooled Radeon RX 6900 XT GPU. The XFX Speedster ZERO Radeon RX 6900XT RGB EKWB is one of the fastest AMD Radeon-based graphics cards on the market. This new Speedster series GPU is equipped with a 14-phase VRM power delivery system, consisting of DrMOS and high polymer capacitors. To make sure these lightning-fast graphics processors manage to hit their maximum clocks, a unique EK water block is pre-installed which also brings a prolonged lifespan due to the superior thermals that the liquid cooling provides. This also makes sure that no precious gaming time is spent on the water block mounting, and there are no questions regarding the warranty.

A powerful 14+2 Phase Power Design allows more stable performance by better distributing power across more power phases in the VRM which results in more overclocking and boosting headroom. Couple that with the incredibly cool components due to the full cover EK water block and you get a recipe for high performance, stability, and a long lifespan.

The base of the block is made of nickel-plated electrolytic copper while the top is made of see-through glass-like Acrylic. Sealing is ensured by high-quality EPDM O-Rings. The distinctive and unique water block cover is partly accented with an acrylic design, enhanced by the subtle back glow that's adding a mystic ambiance to suit any desired gaming mood. The entire lighting is addressable, allowing for various effects through the RGB control software.

Liquid cooling allows for lower temperatures, ensuring that the card's native GPU Boost overclocks the card to levels that are out of reach for traditional air cooling. This card boosts up to 2525 MHz out of the box! All that with a prolonged lifespan due to lower temperatures and significantly less noise pollution when connected to the existing or new custom loop system. Take full advantage of the RDNA2 architecture that is powering this AMD 7 nm gaming GPU. Equipped with 16 GB of GDDR6 memory and featuring PCI Express 4.0 support, RDNA2 architecture is ready for all the new and upcoming games.

Availability and pricing

XFX Speedster ZERO Radeon RX 6900XT RGB EKWB is available for order through the EK Webshop for 1799.90 €.

That's a sweet block.

Is it so expensive because of the block? Or the mile long name?

Probably because of the block, it's not unusual that a card with pre-applied block is more expensive than a card + block bought separately.

Hehehe, sarcasm on my end. I was making fun of the silly long name ;)
Altho, I'm wondering if they might be willing to knock off a couple bills if I were to simply call it the XFX 6900xt Speedster Zero? Nice clean branding there...but then of course ek and radeon lose out on their glory.

Nah, I got your joke :D but in general these cost more than when bought seperately.

...and that's not a long name as I still remember Gainward cards from the early 2000s.

This seems awfully late in the game, considering Gigabyte and PowerColor got out their waterblocked RX 6900XTs almost a year ago (and PowerColor also tagged EK for its semi-custom WB solution), and both I believe used the XTXH variant for even faster clocks. And now there's AMD supposedly planning to release even faster variants in the xx50XT format later this year, meaning an RX 6950XT will be a thing.

Yeah, I was expecting to see XTXH on this, but it wasn't mentioned on EK's site.

A review and proper comparison of all watercooled 6900XTs would be nice.

This has been available for some time now, from other sources. So this is basically a press release from EK that they have it in stock.

I bought one at the start of February. Can confirm it does use the 6900XTXH variant. Be warned that more than one owner have reported such a bad waterblock mount that a re-mount/paste is required to stop it from thermal throttling. That includes breaking a warranty void if removed sticker, which has potential consequences depending on where you live.

It's not late but the announcement is, it was the first WC'd XTXH card and I've had this card in my PC for months now. This announcement isn't any less odd though.

Single slot card with dual slot bracket... why you do this?
Helps with GPU sag and this card is heavy.

I don't see any problem with that as these days having multiple expansion cards is pretty rare. And probably there are single-slot brackets so you can change it.

I get the naming scheme here now. Zero for zero fans. Clever :)
