Alder Lake gets around your claimed scheduling problems using a hardware thread scheduler called Thread Director. The processor knows exactly where to place data before it even reaches the cores themselves, the downside to this is that it requires Windows 11 or a modern Linux kernel that can understand how the ITD works.
Yeah I know there's a hardware level scheduler. But just as the review has shown, there's always gonna be some software to be mis-scheduled, waiting to be corrected by human. That's the problem and that's my point. With all cores being both powerful and efficient like Zen 3, there won't be this trouble...

Like I said in another Post, the cost of the Intel CPU is partitioned off into the chipset itself, never minding the cost of DDR 5. Using DDR 4 with ADL absolutely brings down its performance.
The benchmarks I've seen have majority shown that low latency ddr4 is equal if not faster in gaming ? (That's the controversy with ddr5, right now it's not really worth the cost in most consumer applications)

If anyone finds a benchmark of the 5800x3d in Warzone please share. I'm scouring the internet and the reviewers keep using the same games.

Guessing there will be a fair few AMD CPU's in the second hand market very soon. Good luck selling them though. Make sure you have secured your X3D first though

New gaming king is here. Intel weren't at the top for very long, even with their 280W overclocked to the absolute limit special edition behemoth
What? The techspot review shows the alderlakes on top, lol

And that's the difference that a 12700f has compared to the 5800x 3d. Only it absolutely crucifies it in everything else. And it costs 320€, lol

PS1. You don't need to get 6400c32. Any hynix kit clocks to 6800-7000c30. Just sayin..

The only thing the 12700K crucifies is power consumption, it draws significantly more power than the 5800X3D multithreaded:

And its still slower in gaming. This is not a good place for Intel to be; slower in gaming while drawing significantly more power!

But better for everything else. ST/MT keep your X3D i don't spend most of my time gaming anyway, If you do then you are onto a winner with the X3D.

I mean any recent CPU within the last two years that is above $200 paired with a 3090 Ti will come within single-digit performance(look at the Top 5 CPUs, Choose the lowest price ) so your point is meaningless.

This forum is blind to anything Intel now. It's like talking to a brick wall.
We are in the presence of an engineering marvel of a CPU and many of you find a way to criticize it?

And for those extra 55 watts, it scores 7544 points higher.

I know thinking hurts, but no pain, no gain.

You mean the same way every thread that mentions it criticizes ADL? Get back to your worship

If you're strictly looking for a PC for gaming, the 5800X3D might be the way to go. If you have other uses for your computer and want something better and still solid with gaming almost any other current CPU will handling practical applications just as good as 5800X3D or better and still provide solid gaming performance.

In my situation I have days where I'm putting a lot of stuff on my Plex server and the speed and effectiveness of the 5900x is awesome for my needs. Otherwise I use it for gaming. I'd rather have a 5900x that excels at encoding work by upwards of 40% over the 5800X/X3D (I'd even be happy with a 12700K that's right there with the 5900X at encoding) and is a solid CPU for gaming over just having the top CPU for gaming - be it the 5800X3D or 12900KS.

I find it hilarious that so many people are crying Intel best! AMD best! and how they argue back and forth about a miniscule thing such as "gaming king".

I don't care what side holds the "gaming king" crown. What I can admit to is that I'm impressed with the 5800X3D as it comes in lower clocked than the 5800X and in gaming it surpasses what the 5800X can do and comes within spitting distance (sometimes surpasses) what the 12900KS does. It's a cool feat to see from AMD. Anyone unwilling to see this and admit it, they are a fool or a moron.

I for one like to take the reviews done by W1zzard and other sites such as Techspot. Use that information to base my opinion on what would be best for my needs. Everyone else should do that, too, and stop trying to convince the other side of the spectrum that your way is right and they're wrong. It's hard to talk someone down when they don't want to be.

In the end:
Strictly gaming and don't do much else? Go for that 5800X3D build if you want to save some money over a 12900K build.
Lots of media encoding? Go for the 12700k or 12900k from Intel or 5900x or 5950x from AMD.
Maybe you want that bragging rights for overall fastest and/or most expensive? The 12900KS is what you're looking for.
You don't plan on gaming? Then who cares what CPU you pick, find one that meets your needs.

Build your computer for your needs, enjoy what it does and enjoy the new hardware that keeps coming out in the reviews.

If you already have a pretty good PC, spending $400+ for the 20% better the X3D is for gaming is dumb. If you are building new or have a potato CPU then fine, otherwise why bother. So you can preen yourself on a forum, yeah that's it.

Haven't you learned by now? Efficiency only matters when AMD is behind Intel/Nvidia, otherwise it does not.

But it has earned its criticism(at least the 12900K/KS) It has been Pushed Beyond its efficiency curb to match/beat Zen3 at MT and Gaming.

It's only in efficient when running R23 maxed out, or haven't you been reading this forum for the past months............................oh 20 posts yeah no you haven't. move along

Actually I am upgrading from a stock 1700(dud at OC) to the 5800X x370 MB and a 6800 GPU. I think I should see a substantial boost in ST/MT and in Gaming

You are putting a graph of power consumption in cinebench and then talk about gaming. Are you daft dude? You realize according to the graph you just posted the 12700 is more efficient than the 5800x 3d,right? Lol, way to shoot your self on the foot buddy

Indeed you will and it exactly the reason to buy a 5800x/3D

Not exactly. 12700K:

Worse power draw.
Worse heat output.
Worse total platform cost
Worst gaming performance.
Better productivity performance
Better platform

And for those extra 55 watts, it scores 7544 points higher.

I know thinking hurts, but no pain, no gain.

Ok sure if you play CPU benchmarks you're on to a winner with the Intel pardon me.
