Hello,
I just created an account so that you could enlighten me. I got my hands on a fake gt730 with a lot of confidence since I have already "fixed" many of this chinese graphic cards. However this one is special, i think, since I can´t make sense out of it.
According to the impresion it's a gf108-400-a1. GPUZ indicates it's a gf106 with all the parameters of a gts450 exept die size. and nvflash (accesing the gpu's inforation, not the bios stored in the eprom) says its a gf1xx with device id 0dc3, which according to some imformation doesn´t even exist!
In short. How can I modify it's bios to make it recognize the 2gb it has (already tested) instead of the 4gb it shows and avoid crashes?

Remove the cooler and post pics from both sides of the card.

It might be just a mobile chip.

70.26.28.00.01 is for sure a bios from a 450 gts 1 or 2 gb card, the ddr3 is a dead give away (not gddr3)

Try 1 of those bios above

Wow! I have some old cards, but even they're GDDR5. David said "since I have already "fixed" many of this chinese graphic cards" How do you fix a ddr3 card?

Putting correct bios on that reports physical ram account present, the card he has is either a 1G or 2G, not a 4G, only way to figure it out is to pull heatsink, count ram chips and pull the white stencil info from the chips

There are people who still have ddr4/gddr4 and gddr3 cards

I don't buy fake cards because that advocates thieves to continue doing this, I'd be reporting them on webpages.

Actually GT 1030 is the only dedicated GPU which uses DDR4.

I might still have a GDDR3 or DDR3 around here somewhere, I think even my amd HD 4870 that I bought back in 2009 or 2010 is GDDR5 but not sure, so I didn't think there was still any GDDR3 out there. Maybe I'm thinking about just DDR3, I really don't know that much about graphic cards, I think the gamers probably know the most.

4870 was actually the first consumer card which used GDDR5. 4850 was almost without exceptions a GDDR3 card, but a GDDR4 version does exist, as does a GDDR5 version which is basically an underclocked 4870.

already edited to include those pics

Tried with those. Nvflash tells me "gpu mismatch". but if I try a gt730 bios it flashes no problem... with the exception of course that it completely stops working

Thanks for the quick replies.

Yeah, most do, that scam DDR4 model was released later.

It is a GF106, identical packaging. https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/nvidia-gf106.g83

I'm checking for info about those memory chips. The chips do seem to be 2Gbit = 256MB ones.

edit: here's some 2GB DDR3 bioses:

You will be forced to bypass "GPU missmatch" warning if you want to make it into GTS 450/550.
At this point, nvflash still thinks this is legit GT 730 - that's why you get that error.

You have to force it

+1 totally. Criminals should never profit from their illegal activities.

Would that mean they are transplanting an old chip onto a new card?
No, a replacement chip on an existing pcb.

Ive seen a mobility radeon on a pcie pcb before, definitely a custom vbios was needed for it.

Its hilarious how they tried to sell it as a 730, as everyone knows that 730 is a much slower card in reality lol.

Post pics of the card and of the memory chips. Maybe we can find a working bios.

why do you people keep buying these?
do you have cement between your eyeballs
ya would think you would learn
