HIFIMAN Edition XS, but keep in mind my experience in that price range is limited to just 4 planars (2 of which haven't been covered yet)

Why this over the Sundara? Also you can get the HE6se for 700 off and on down from it's original 1800 so for a little bit more of a bump...

I haven't yet heard the Sundara or HE6se, it's why I was giving the disclaimer in the earlier post.
