Creative Technology today launched Creative Stage Air V2, its latest under-monitor soundbar designed to give users a filling audio experience with a minimalist form factor which is versatile on connectivity options too. Revamped inside-out from its popular predecessor (Stage Air), Stage Air V2 sports a new look while retaining a slim and compact profile. It delivers fuller-sounding audio with significantly better bass, even though a subwoofer is not included - thanks to its new dual full-range racetrack drivers and an oversized passive radiator.

This soundbar has a comprehensive connectivity profile for compatible devices (which include PC, Mac, PS5, Nintendo Switch, mobile devices) - users can conveniently connect a single USB cable for audio and power, or revert to the trusty 3.5 mm port for analog connectivity. It also delights as a wireless speaker, featuring the latest Bluetooth 5.3 technology with six hours of playback on a single charge - encouraging users to bring it with them on their in-home adventures.

Stage Air V2 is eager to please, whether as a compact and space-saving desktop accessory, or at the kitchen counter to spice up a cooking party. Users undoubtedly get more than their daily share of good audio vibes in an altogether budget-friendly package.

Pricing and Availability

Creative Stage Air V2 is priced at S$69 (~50 USD) and is now available at the Creative online store.

If this just sits under the monitor, its not going anywhere fast to need bluetooth, making the bluetooth almost pointless.

If this was included in a complete system, that might be different.

Not bad, I recently bought their Creative Stage V2 - king of budget soundbars in TPU for a friend. Pretty pleased with it.

I'm guessing that's for the mobile device functionality. I mean case in point my sound system on my TV get's it's signal via optical. But the SO connects her phone or iPad to it via bluetooth.

Yea I can see that, but looking at the item, it seems more like an after thought, There are better mobile speaker boxes and better looking, one thing this dones have is a holder for a device linked or not.

I do too, on my bose wave clock radio. Much better sound.

Soundbars seem to be becoming the lowest common denominator these days.

They're impressive given the lack of a dedicated subwoofer but there are very real limitations to passive radiators that will essentially always have you wishing for more, in the same way that some music can sound great on a cheap 2.1 setup with awful midrange but a lot of the time you'll be telling yourself that "this doesn't sound great".

They have become the swiss knife of audio setup and that's it. Slap it below your monitor/TV and forget the hassle of 2.1+ setups, it's even more comfortable than pure stereo setups. Sometimes we forget most people doesn't care about the most optimal setup or the actual sound quality if it just has enough bass and volume. Recently I had to reuse an old stereo speaker set for my grandma since she has problems hearing the TV and I would have gone for one of these without thinking if I didn't had those stereo speakers around.
