Ryzen 5800x and ram Corsair vengeance lpx 2x8Gb 3200 mhz

hi, so basically what happened is that when i put xmp profile 1 in the bios and set the mhz to 3200 , then the pc doesn't boot anymore, so i reset the cmos and then i can boot it cuz mhz are at 2133, also even if they are only 2133 my games keeps crashing to desktop with no errors. dunno what to do, i heard that these rams are a problem for ryzen. is there a way to fix it? or need to change them?

I would send that ram back and get something from G.Skill or anyone else. Vengeance is known to have many problems with Zen 3.

Easiest thing to do is check your mobo qvl or use G.Skill qvl to see if it’s a match with your system

Yup. I've had to send back so much LPX that I'm never touching the stuff again. It's bad with Zen2, downright terrible with Zen3.

There are specific "Ryzen Tuned Vengeance LPX" kits that seem to be ok, but yours is not one of them.
The fact that Corsair even have to make a special "Ryzen" version of their LPX RAM tells you that they KNOW there's a problem with their normal LPX. Nobody else does that, nor do they need to!

I've had good success on Zen3 with Kingston Fury Beast, Crucial Ballistix, Patriot Viper Steel as decent budget dual-channel kits. If I'm trying to hit XMP speeds with 128GB (all 4 DIMMS) then G.Skill is my go-to but I've also had decent results with the Kingston Fury Renegade kits. G.Skill is usually much more expensive over here and the Kingston Renegade kits are at least 25% more than their Beast kits.

Of the two kits you linked, the Ballistix kit should be better.

At €99 they're overpriced. They should be going for around €70 which is the price you'd pay if you got 2x16GB kit.

they are hyped out as they are good for oc. mine samsung bdies were twice the price, i paid for what i wanted lol.

If it works for you and you have no issues, keep it. I got LPX and haven't had problems directly related to them, but based on what I've read here and in other forums, I'd stay clear from them in the future for Ryzen builds.

My next Ryzen build will be a 7000 I think. Will keep all that I've currently got probably until DDR5 has come down loads.

Some kits need a little more loose tRC if I recall.
I had a CMW32GX4M2C3200C16 (ver 4.32) kit needed a bump in tRC to get it working.

Try setting XMP then loosen tRC by +4 or +6 and see if it will post.

Crashing at 2133 sounds like a bad stick which happened to me.
