UHD Gaming Ryzen 5 5500 vs 5600x

I now play on uhd and was wondering what i would gain if i get a ryzen 5 5600x instead of my ryzen 5 5500 , i would gain higher clock speeds, more overclock, 32 mb L3 cache instead of 16gb and Pci e 4.0 instead of 3.0

Youtube really can't tell me if i would gain something other than in 2560x1440 i would gain alot, more than i would going from a 5600x to a 5800x, mabye the same diffrence if i would go from a ryzen 5600x to a 5800x 3d so there is a difference but in 4 k ? in doom 2016 i get with my system 150-160 fps, so i guess in that game i would gain some fps ?

Honestly the 5600 (non-X) is a much better value option than the 5600X. Really the only thing you sacrifice is the "X" in the product name. You still get all the cache, PCI-E 4.0 and pretty much identical performance for a good 25% less money.

Not always every memory configuration will work when switching brand/platform or just not at rated speed.

Difference between a 5600 and 5600x is so little that you take the 5600x, 5700g and x is noticeable more expensive a difference of 65-75 euro

Is it in 4k/uhd ?

No, but relevant if using dlss. As I linked to earlier at 1440p 5600X is 5-10% faster when CPU bound, some games 15%+ faster, others 0 if GPU bound.

im only gaming i uhd (3840x2160), thats why i hate most reviews since they don't compare 2 cpu's or more in 4k,3840x2160 only and reviews online theres often no 0.1% and 1% low

IIRC the gaming performance of the 5500 is closer to a 3600 than the 5600. I wouldn't get it unless the price is real cheap.

I would just get a better video card for now and look at upgrading the CPU in a year or two (5700 or better). Also, you can over clock your 5500 to get some more life from it if it really starts to get slow.

Max CPU boost clock override is limited to + 200 mhz according to the manual of my asus mb, i know it should be able to run at 4.6ghz but many say not to use a static oc on a ryzen 5000, even if the degradation of the cpu will have been very low at the time you change to a different cpu, it's not recommended, i have had experience of lowering the vcore alot when manully (static) oc

Had same card for over a year. You can play 4K/60 in newer games (2042, GOW, Spider-Man) but usually at medium settings. At that point I drop it to something in between 1440 and 2160 for tv gaming. Average is 1800p High. Anywho cpu doesn't mean so much passed 1440, but always get a cpu/gpu combo that wont bottle neck one or the other.
