i have a question guys....
i have an rtx3090 with an older bios (before resizable bar) i haven't updated it to the newer one.
my motherboard is updated with resizable bar option there but i haven't enabled it..

so far my system runs fine with no problems and the reason i didnt update the bios is because 9th gen is not officially supported although ive seen benchmarks that it does work.
is there a noticeable difference in perf? should i enable it?

not the most beautiful loop but it works great, just have to add the 3080Ti to the loop.

To me it wouldn't be worth it the difference in most games is negligible the majority of people that would say otherwise just have a bad case of fomo.

Why not update it?
It definitely does make a performance difference, it's just that the 3090 has a lot of performance already.

There are game profiles for way more things than SLI, man. It's been that way for a bit. This isn't an SLI profile in any sense of the word.

How does the Aorus Master 3070 stack up against mods/overclocking? Still determining if im getting the LHR or non-LHR version, but i doubt that makes a difference to performance.

Id like to push the sucker as much as possible.

CPU score could use some work, you sure CO isn't working against you? I post better scores at -25 or -28 than -30, even they're all "stable".

I went back to 4006 because neither AGESA 1207 or 1208 are giving me any good reasons to stay. Just slower, shittier, hotter.

if you went to the latest bios for that sweet pbo menu, then you probably didn't do anything wrong and the bios itself probably accounts for 100% of the performance deficit lol

4303 I think I saw in MW2 a 10°C increase in temps compared to 4006? a huge yikes

It needs lower voltages for OCing the memory, i reduced those values and the temps are back to normal. I think they boosted certain voltages to increase ram compatibility.

really similar so i wont blame the CPU on that one - yes, the BIOS could be related (I already had everything unlocked, modded BIOS)

This is with a custom OC curve to 1935Mhz on the GPU, higher hits the wattage limits

@Mussels if you saved the results file at the bottom of the page you can check your CPU clocks during the CPU test (last segment after the last dotted line)

Mine is 4450 steady through the entire test, but yours looks like it's dropping slightly as the CPU test goes on

I doubt yours runs hotter than mine, so pretty safe to say it's just 1207 doing its thing

CPU and GPU Dropping at the exact same times between tests is just a loading screen

The lowest the CPU dipped is 50Mhz, as the test was ending
coulda been simple heat at that point with a 375W 3090 in the loop

Anyone having trouble with displays not sleeping?

In the last week or so my monitor just refuses to sleep, despite windows being set to do so

apparently this was an issue with geforce experience in the past, anyone else seeing it?

Ugh figured it out

I've got a virtual display adapoter added by the VR streaming software for my quest 2, and disabling it broke the sleep state

I was trying to minimise background resource usage and forgot about it
